Edm-nyr

So here we are:

To EDM
Henrik Lundqvist
Wojtek Wolski or Salary dump

To NYR
Ales Hemsky
Devan Dubnyk/Nikolai Khabibulin
Rajala/Hartikinen
Gagner
Theo Peckham
2013 1st (top 10 protected)

Trying to be realistic here, not a fan of either team, and while there's obvious constraints, I think its realistic, as Hemsky's a pretty nice piece. EDM won't trade the obvious.

Flame away !!!

How does this make the Rangers a better team?

It starts with Hall. That's the only piece the Oilers have that would make the Rangers even think twice about trading Lundqvist. Mainly because this is the depth of the Rangers at that position:

Lundqvist
Biron
Johnson
Talbot

Who are Johnson and Talbot, you may ask? That speaks for itself, I would say.

How many times has it been said that a player won't be traded ?

Why bother posting that ?

In the end, this deal probably hurts both teams. The Oilers aren't a goalie away from competing and they aren't going to blow things up in the middle of our rebuild. The Rangers DEFINITELY don't do this. They aren't going to trade Lundqvist, especially since they rely on him a lot and can be a dominant team if Richards and Gaborik click.

If you're referring to my mention of Hall, the same could be said for Lundqvist.

They get deeper, a Dubnyk/Khabibulin-Biron tandem can take them to the playoffs.

and its to Blue Ranger..

Is the Value there ? or way off cause thats what I was aiming for...

This proposed trade is kind of a huge joke.

Adding a fragile winger on a 1 year contract while subtracting Lundqvist makes the Rangers better?

No, it doesn't.

But a Lundqvist-Biron grouping can't, even though they just did last year?

I don't even like the Rangers but this is a pointless trade for NYR to make.

hilarious that you want to give them khabi, a top 10 protected pick(wtf?), 2nd line center, a bust in rajala, upcoming ufa winger, and a bottom pairing dman for a stud goalie. Your giving them things they already have, but actually making them WORSE by offering them khabi. Sad thing is you don't even offer a LW which is their biggest need.

Really one bad year and the Kids a bust..... theres always Dubnyk... Hemsky would probably sign in NYR. Yes a protected pick, cant say I`d trade yakupov.

This is like the time I got flamed for suggesting Price for I think it was Eberle or Pajaarvi.....

Correctomundo. This trade would destroy the rangers. Henke is the reason behind so many of our wins.

You should stop making proposals for franchise goaltenders. Unless it's huge overpayment or there are other factors in play (issues with coach, etc) rarely do they get moved.

The funny part is that price wasn't considered a franchise goalie a the time, and this is the 2nd proposal I've made so don't go on about my track record...

If the Rangers are somehow shopping Hank, I'd assume they'd want to fill in a need on LW and an adequate goalie to start games for the team.

I'll throw out a proposal:

Hall
Dubnyk
1st
