No need to include Clifford in this deal. Much better to evaluate Stoll's worth by himself, because the Kings aren't going to move basically Simmonds' replacement for now.
I love would Stoll, if he makes it to FA next summer, I think he should be number 1 priority next summer for the Habs (after resigning some key players). He would be the idea number 2 center for us in JM system, I'd gladly overpay (Gomez would be moved easily next summer if anything).
It's a terrible deal overall, no disrespect to the OP. Montreal gives up, skill wise, the best player, a good prospect and a 1st that will likely be between 15th and 25th overall.
LA meanwhile gives up two of their key players, in a year when they are looking to a make long playoff run and only get one back, losing depth. Not to mention LA gives up two pieces from their third line, as well as a guy who is their top faceoff man. Value wise, LA does it, but the move just doesn't make much sense overall for them.
