don't know man but this idea of him not making the team in the 11-12 season is apparently horrible for him while datsyuk hit the team in age of 22.

Lupul - Connolly - Kessel
Kule - Grabo - Mac
Kadri - Bozak - Frattin
Brown - Lombardi - Armstrong
Quoting for best lineup Ive seen posted. Love this idea. Though I love Army and he deserves a 3rd line spot more than anyone.

But I believe Kadri and Frattin both should get a spot. Both look ready, and we need to eventually stop sheltering Kadri and let him play. Hes proven he can play in the AHL and be an amazing player. But thats not where we want him. He should be in the NHL. And after seeing what I did in the final I think 12 games of the season, by maybe end of February Kadri will probably force himself into Lupul's spot.

How any of those position players isn't an upgrade I don't understand.
Losing Brent is something we shouldnt have done. Hes the guy you want out with 1 minute left with the game on the line. But I digress.

Lombardi and Armstrong on the fourth line behind Kadri and Frattin? Oh lord.

Frattin looked good, but seriously, it was one game. Remember when Jiri Tlusty scored two goals in his first NHL game? There's not a chance both Kadri and Frattin start the season with the big club. If Lombardi is ready to go in October, we could see them both in the AHL until somebody gets hurt.

Lupul-Connolly-Kessel
MacArthur-Grabovski-Kulemin
Lombardi/Kadri/Frattin-Bozak-Armstrong
Orr-Dupuis-Brown

Brent was solid, but people make too much of losing him based primarily on that one PK against Carolina. Dupuis will be as good if not better, I promise you all. It's like having another Mike Brown at center (except for the fighting).

whats the difference what you call them 3rd or 4th line? there the bottom 6 lines and could switch accordingly...Orr is probably done, Rosehill will fill in and one of the kids sat a couple games if they need time to grow

well frattin has to make it sometime this year or we are looking at a 25 yr old rookie .
no point in signing college kids then since they dont come much better than frattin .....so if he cant cut it u gotta find out so frattin has to be given every opportunity ...or just stay away from colege kids period

I honestly can't tell much as I have not seen dupuis' game in play but if that is the case wow that should be very fun. I still thing boyce will take the third line spot personally and dupuis and zigo will fight for the fourth line spot or that's my guess.

I am actually curious on whats going to happen as I think Rosie signed a one way contract this time around. Although according to burke ORR is perfectly fine.

If he works great in the training camp, awesome and Yes I believe he is more ready for that third line role more than kadri if we are talking in rookie competition. But if he doesn't make it, he should make it a fun AHL with Big Joe and our youth movement there.

Another player that we should be watching for is Tyler brenner.

Burke said Lombardi is symptom-free & working out hard, but the team isn't sure he'll be cleared for the start of camp.
Getting more and more postive. Went from light workouts and doubtful for camp, to working out hard and unsure.

This is fantastic news. When the trade was first announced i was hopeful for a January return. Now its looking more and more like a late october/november return with the slight possibility of even earlier.

Very well said, no way both kadri and frattin both make the big leafs.

Leafs give Matthew Lombardi full clearance to skate next week, but with no body contact. Encouraging sign for the concussed centre

That's incredible news! Hopefully he keeps on the right track and we might see him sometime November or December in well form.
