Andy Delmore

Is now playing for my local club in Zagreb, Croatia.
(they're competing in the Austrian EBEL League)

How cool is that?!!??!
(for me, (d)Elmore being a former Sabre)

...

Now, let's see how many responses this thread gets...

It has nothing to do with the player, but I have always loved your team's jerseys.
They are some of the nicest in Europe.

I'm hoping that you'll be accepted into the KHL soon, but first they have to try their stupid Milan experiment before going to places that actually care about the game.

I know I ask this every time and I always forget. What's the purpose of not saying those letters in his name?

Any Elmore. No "D" in him.

The D went first and then people took out the O, too. Offensive defenseman my butt. He was so worthless.

Not important?! My elmore jersey is hanging in my closet right between Jeff Jillson's and Doug Janik's.

Your local club also has two former Portland Pirates and a former Rochester American from the time that the Sabres were affiliated with both. It's like the place to go for failed Sabres! (even though they were all signed to an AHL contract or were Florida property)

I remember when Buffalo got him, and the Snooze had an article comparing him to recent Norris winners.

Well, maybe in Croatia his defense (and offense) is passable

Even here... It's highly doubtful.
Especially after seeing him play for the first two exhibition games.

The D looked abysmal that season:

Zhitnik-Kalinin
Tallinder-Delmore
Mckee-Campbell
Patrick

You guys do realize he led all NHL dmen in goal scoring for two seasons with Nashville. Just saying. He was a competent NHLer at one point. Believe he was the AHL's top defenseman a couple seasons after as well.
