Oilers roster. I expect a Saab/Vannieuwenhuizen fight. Can't wait to hear Taylor recap that on Sportsnet.

Also, player numbers are out!

Happy Tanev is going back to 8 like i expected. Hope no one got his jersey already.

Reading about Clackson, not really impressed.

Laurence Gilman was just interviewed on the team saying the club hadn't confirmed Legace and Begin as training camp attendees. I wonder why.

Because if Gillis could have it his way, Sturm would play in the Canucks regular season and Gillis would not confirm, or deny, that Sturm's been signed.

The Vancouver Sun has added the Pass it to Bulis blog to its hockey offerings and he has weighed in on the prospect camp invitees.

Here are profiles of invitees (aka not Canucks property) to the prospect camp:

Schroeder and Rodin are from the same draft.

Well there's always off-ice reports!

#Canucks Anton Rodin says looking forward to the faster, more physical hockey in North America. Also said shoulder issues mostly resolved.

#Canucks prospects: D-man Yann Sauve says he feels great with good summer of training ... and very careful crossing the street in Vancouver.

#Canucks prospects camp: Jordan Schroeder says the learning curve was steep in his rookie season, but believes he's figured some things out.

#Canucks rookie camp: Kevin Connauton says he knows he has to make an impact at the Prospects tourney.
Hopefully Rodin's shoulder injury is a thing of the past. Hoping for a good year from him on the Wolves.

indeed, although i'm pretty disappointed that Hodgson wasn't able to snatch up his old #18. oh well, we'll see what camp brings.

hmmm...that Young Stars roster looks a bit better than i expected. didn't know for sure if some of those guys who played a year of Pro already would be there, but that's good news. even more excited to see how the 'young stars' all look out there now, and how our crop compares to these other teams.

Why is Ihlati still in Finland? I thought he would be in net for the Giants?

His club wouldn't release him, despite the fact that he won't even be playing for them, but for their farm team.

Those shoulder issues for Rodin are kind of concerning, hopefully they'll make sure he's at 100% first. It'd be for the best in the long term.

On-ice report: When stepping onto the ice, be careful. It is slippery.

A brief Day 1 blog entry from one of the CDC interns:

http://canucks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=588088

Nothing overly interesting, quote from Mac T on coaching in Chicago, and some stuff from Jensen. Was hoping for a bit more info on how the tests actually went, but meh...still early. I think on-ice stuff is starting shortly this morning.

12:33 p.m. -- Practice just kicked up about 200 notches aas the players scrimmage 4-on-4; no goals yet as Brendan Jensen and Karel St. Laurent (both free agents) hold their own, but Antoine Roussel just delivered a nice clean hit on Anton Rodin.
Hopefully Rodin's shoulder held up
