Girardi didn't take this game seriously. This is last year all over again. SETTLE FOR WILD CARD.

I wish that Joe Torre could be brought back.

Out of curiosity, who did you want him to bring in out of the pen?

Who didn't I want is a better question. There's about 10 better options than Laffey and Ayala.

And another thing, if you're gonna **** around anyway, why waste Robertson? A bit of backwards thinking there...

If Joe Torre managed this team, David Robertson would have been ruined before he had the chance to blossom into the dominant pitcher he's become.

I have issues with Girardi, but I'll take a manager who uses Laffey and Proctor in a few big spots in September over a guy who will immediately destroy any good reliever he gets his hands on any day.

Rivera hasn't pitched since Tuesday. Noesi pitched on Wednesdasy. He did go 2 innings. Doesnt make sense not to bring in Rivera for an inning.

Baseball just doesn't work that way. Closer comes in for the home team in a tie game. Closer only comes in with a lead for the away team.

Not saying this is the smart way to do things. It just is what it is.

Right.

I can't believe people begging for Torre back.

Ivan Nova for AL Rookie of The Year! He probably will not get it, but I think he deserves a nomination at least

If we didn't send him down he'd have an outside shot at 20 wins.

Wins are such a terrible metric for determining anything.

Nova is legit though.

True but 18-20 wins is going to catch the eye of a voter.

Haven't watched the Mets in a while because I have no motivation too and I don't have time so can someone tell me what the **** is up with Parnell? Guy has so much skill but I'll read a little about the game the next day and it seems like he blows every one.

Could the Sox possibly choke out of the playoffs?

I change my pick, I think the Yankees will win the WS again this year against the Brew Crew.

Yeah, he has been awful. He's still a thrower, rather than a pitcher. I know they're trying to get a sense of what he can do next year, but come the **** on. He clearly can't close, so let someone else have a shot. Let Stinson or someone get some looks. I understand we're out of it and the games have essentially no meaning, but it would be big for this team, for all it has been though, to finish .500 this year. How the **** are we going to do that with Parnell blowing every save?

Does Jeff Mathis have an RBI in his career that isn't against the Yankees?

As soon as Granderson went funky, this whole lineup went funky. We need the MVP back.

You can see that they're dragging.

Girardi needs to give some of his regulars off days.

Why he hasn't at this point is strange.

Joey Bautista still plays in Toronto.

Seriously though, it's a good thing for the Yanks that the Sux are playing awful ball right now.
