I personally think Erixon is playing phenomenal and Borque is playing with an "explosive edge". By that i mean is willing to hit and is burning some d-men. Thoughts?

I've really noticed Hagelin alot. And I mean Carl Hagelin, not our boy Jamy

Miller and Parlett stand out to me the most for players I didn't know much about.

Parlett is gonna be on a lot of people's radars now. Not getting my hopes up too high right now but I'll be excited to see him in hartford this year.

I think Erixon and Bourque have shown a lot during these two games.

Really, a lot of players have played well.

I personally think Erixon has the best shot to make the team and believe he will make it, while Bourque, Hagelin and Thomas will also have impressive camps, but only one of them will make it. I'm unsure as to which, but am leaning toward Bourque.

You're a tremendous talent, but you've been in the penalty box since before this thing started

upfront Bourque has been the best on both ends........realistically he needs a few yrs in CT but he may be able to make it to the big club in time.

I expect Hagelin to be the first winger call up if someone goes down, a good yr in the AHL will go a long way

sent Thomas, McIlrath, Miller back to the OHL as their is no need to rush them.

Does look like CT will ice a good team

I made this comment in the GDT, but basically everyone we have listed in our prospects thread has had their positive moments, with the exception of Ceresnak, who looked out of his depth in the one game he played. It has been a real joy to watch.

Picking the 5 best forwards so far, in order, I'd go with:
Bourque
Thomas
Yogan
Miller
Hagelin

Picking the best 3 defensemen, in order, I'd go with:
Erixon
Parlett
McIlrath

The goalies haven't been that tested, but Stajcer impressed me early on today when the baby Stars were holding their own.

Want to chew on something fun?

The team looks this good - and none of Kreider, Fasth, Lindberg or Fogarty are playing...

I'm looking forward to potentially seeing a Thomas-Stepan-Kreider line in a year. Or Thomas-Anisimov-Kreider. Drool.

I've been imagining Kreider - Stepan - Thomas for over a year.

I've recorded both games but haven't watched them.

Hows McIlrath look?

How much does Ryan Bourque remind you of a young callahan

He doesn't.

McColgan reminds me more of Callahan than Bourque...just a shorter version.

Erixon, McIlrath, Bourque, McColgan, Hagelin, and Thomas have impressed me the most from the two games that I've seen.

Erixon is just on another level. I think he's got the inside edge for securing a spot with the Rangers this season.

A great deal. Though I don't always worry about Callahan getting another concussion like I do with Bourque. Bourque is a small man playing a big man's style.

Watching on DVR now, am only thru 2 periods.

But to me Bourque has stood out the most, first game included. Love his speed, both on offense and defense.
