Funny I saw this thread because I just watched game 1 of the summit series. He was far and away the best player in that game for either team and pretty much had the puck the whole night and did whatever he wanted on every shift. I'd say the best comparison for him is Pavel Datsyuk with the way he is able to control the game and make defenders back off. He was doing things on those rickety old skates and wood sticks that guys do today.
