I really do love Geno... Maybe its just me, but he looks like he may have added some muscle to his frame(which he really needed). He definitely looks like he has a lot more mass than he did last year. A completely healthy, bulked up and in shape Geno sounds like just the ticket to spell the delay to Sid's start to the season.

Heh funny story, a few years back Gonchar delivered tix to a teammate of my dek team. And as I watched that video, the 2nd family Malkin delivered to are my neighbors, next street down.

Geno is hilarious.

Edit, just watched all the videos. It never ceases to amaze me the kind of guys these players are. From personal run-in's with players, to hearing about them from folks, and watching these videos. These guys are so humble, friendly, and genuine. Damn I can't wait for hockey.

There have been some like Anaheim, Calgary, Minnesota and St Louis that I have seen/heard of, but I don't know if they did it every season or any other details.

And didn't Geno introduce himself to a cat or dog before?

Staalsy seemed to really be at ease around people / enjoy it more than I thought he would. I figured him more for the quiet type but he was pretty outgoing. Good bunch a guys we have here.

I'm not sure about Geno, but a few years ago Gonchar was all about the pets.

He's the genuine article, that kid. People will say he's boring but for someone with everything in the world to brag about to be that down to earth is pretty damn amazing.

-edit-

Geno too. Great kid. We're so lucky!

No ****... I hate those obnoxious pieces of crap too. Wouldn't be so bad if you had to listen once, but they put one ahead of every single segment from the recent ticket deliveries. It's the Rob Rossi of advertisements.

Speaking of Geno delivering tickets, here's an article about it as well. Some great quotes in there lol...

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pitt.../s_756431.html

Quote:
Malkin, showing off his improved English and underappreciated sense of humor, mingled comfortably with Harper and her family. After posing for pictures with individuals, Malkin said, "Time for the family picture," and everyone gathered around the Russian star.
Quote:
Harper offered Malkin chocolate muffins, but he politely declined. Instead, he engaged in conversation with everyone, explaining that he is excited for the start of the 2011-12 season.

Then, he made a promise.

"I'll come back sometime," Malkin said. "We'll have muffins then."
Do you think that was innuendo by Malkin there?

Do they (all the players, not just Sid and Geno) deliver every single season ticket? Obviously I mean those in the Pittsburgh area, but that's still gotta be over ten thousand.
