Some kid just joined the Stampeders from the 49ers preseason team. Brought his Masters in Engineering with him at age 24. That's a back up plan, Engineering in Calgary ...
Anyway, you know by 20 if you are getting a contract and if you've done CHL hockey they'll pay for your education, while you are playing and after. One is not exclusive of the other. Quite a few join university teams after and continue on with the education. And a signing bonus for better players would cover off the cost anyway. It isn't like 24 getting your 1st. degree is old.
