Sounds sweet, but I don't want to see Alfie in the preseason. At least very much.

Prince-Filatov-Petersson

I don't even care if none of them play center. Dangle the whole team.

I'm still trying to find a player that reminds of of Zibanejad, but I love the way he plays the game.

His two way game is pro caliber as he backchecks pretty hard. Very good on faceoffs, excellent skater and love his creativity. The guy has great playmaking ability. Excellent shot too.

Maybe Fisher but with an actual brain to play hockey. Peter Forsberg is a pretty good comparison too.

I can fix this problem.

Filatov-Zibby-Petersson.

Think of the mothereffing potential if these two click with Filatov.

If they click(and Filatov brings it)....we could pull off one of the most massive troll jobs HF boards has ever seen this April

Peter Forsberg

I only compared that wicked backhand to Mats Sundin's and people ran with it. Their styles of play are actually not that similar.

Backstrom/Fisher is a comparison I heard...more Fisher I suppose but with much more skill, vision, hockeysense.

I haven't been able to watch any of these games, but you guys make Zibanejad sound like Toews 2.0..

Or am i getting to excited?

Don't think he'll have the same offence, obviously not the same intangibles either. He will be a much bigger pain in the ass to play against though. Not really a good comparison anyways. The Backstrom + Fisher comparison still feels like a good fit to me.

Heck Hossa was not this impressive until having a year in Portland after the draft.

I am afraid Mika will force his way to the team even though I think going back to the SEL would mean he would come to NA next year as a dominant young player and ROY favorite IMO.

He would go beasting in the WJC also.
This.

Pleasantly surprised how good his hands are. Not sure who he plays like, I just know I like his style.

He looks like he's going to win tons of battles, much like Toews. Non-stop skaters.

I don't think he'll produce as much as Forsberg.

What about Ryan Kesler?

Captain serious isn't a huge point getter. Intangibles part is still debatable with Zbad. None of us really know him. A guy who plays THAT hard all the time both ways with his insane motor can never be discounted in the locker room.

Toews got 29 Pts in 22 games during the cup run and 76 in 80 this year. He's a darn good player offensively.

Some guy "Maplesomething?" said that Da Costa sucked and then he went and got a hat trick. The guy then continued to state that he was soft/lazy and any person with a knowledge of hockey could see this. Da Costa continued on sucking of course with another goal tonight.

This is the comparisons I see aswell. Well rounded good at everything type player. He's more creative than Kesler, and has the same effort and motor to go along with his skills.

Another comparisons IMO is Patrice Bergeron

That should be a give...well at least anyway.

But was Kesler as impressive package at 18? Even as hyped or as high a pick?

Not close.

Bergeron isn't a bad comparison, althought I think Zibby will be much more physical.

David Backes maybe ?

Yup, throw Mike Fisher and Peter Forsberg in a blender and it will give you Mika Zibanejad.

He won't because Forsberg was pure domination. Injuries trouble made people forget about him quickly, but IMO he should regarded as one of the best players of all-time. And look at his stats, during a low scoring Era
