I know it isn't your video, but the way the video was linked skipped over the fight and started the video with only 10 seconds left. I merely changed the link so the video started at the beginning rather than the end

Yesterday Donbass won their opening VHL game in penalty shootout against HC Ryazan. Good start.

Donbass is the best team on paper in the VHL - whether they will develop enough chemistry to win the whole thing - we will see

Blowout 6-2 win over Saratov!

The uke-league team lost against Sokil in the home/season opener, though

so....the main team, though, now has a 30 game win-streak going if you count their wins in the uke-league regular season & playoffs!

For what? If they are planning to become KHL members as i understand they want to be, or at least a high end VHL team that is WAY too small.
6000 would have to be the minimum.

Is is for their second or MHL team perhaps?

Isn't Krasnoarmiisk a separate town/city in Donetsk Oblast? Wouldn't this just be about building hockey infrastructure in the region?

Dont know. If they were just building infrastructure, they could probably build 10 ice rinks for the price of the 2,100 seat arena. It has to be for something

I have no doubt that Donbass will be up there fighting for the win in the VHL, really it's Rubin, Toros, and Al'met'evsk, who can beat them.

well, they already dumped a load of money into upgrading the current arena, which is 4100 seats

i think this is just more for infrastructure....maybe MHL team? seems decent for a good junior team / hockey school in the region

might also be a place for Donbass-2 to play if there's a scheduling conflict in the future

i dont think 6000 is a minimum for VHL, most KHL teams only have 5000....vityaz is 3300

ok, but there is rule in KHL. If a club wants to build new area, its capacity has to be at least 9 000 seats (for city with less than 500 000 inhabitants) or 12 000 (city over 500 000 people)

Former Vancouver Canucks draftee Yevgeni Gladskikh will try to re-ignate his career with Donbass. Yevgeni Dubrovin and Vladislav Yegin joins the team as well.

Roster keeps getting better and better.

for the VHL they gonna be a touring all-star team, they do need some non-Ukrainian players for when the NT has to play in the WC, div-B.

they can always call up the imports they have on the PHL team should they need to, no? I may have the PHL transfer deadline and the WC dates overlapping...

The last two surnames certainly are no world beaters, but somewhat established KHL players seems to be proving their worth to VHL teams already, judging purely by the stats.

not really, Gladskih has problems with the "green snake", Egin - is not good, and the third guy is a marginal KHL player, but based on some other KHL marginals playing in the VHL - they are still a great improvement.
