Islander-Bruins Fight 3 times in five seconds at open

I have never seen this sequence before in any hockey game.

Sitting on the east side of the Coliseum, Randell (RW) and Gallant (LW) drop the gloves immediately after the puck drops. Retaliation for Randall giving Rakhshani a concussion in the previous game.

Alright...

Next, the puck returns to center ice, Benn Olson (LW) and Stokes (RW) drop the gloves after the puck is dropped.

Okay...

The puck returns to center ice again, puck drops, Bidlevskii and Miller drop the gloves at the exact same spot.

It was hilarious, fighting majors at 00:02, 00:03, and 00:05. Ironically, there wasn't another fighting major until the third period.

How'd Conor Stokes' fight go?

OT: How'd he look overall?

It was a really, really good scrap. I hope the videos show up on the internet because the first two were both very good fights.

And to the OP, three is good, four's better:

This. It happened just last season so I don't think it's anything too rare.

I was going to ask about this, knowing the Bruins-Stars fights but not knowing about any others.

Oh and all the fights were really good, I just wish Olsen had better balance.

Ah, the famous rookie mistake! I see that you have mistaken the preseason gongshow for an actual hockey game. You see, what happened was a bunch of future-MMA nobodies decided to wear skates and fight, because they sure as hell can't crack the NHL by playing hockey.

Typical hfboards.
Someone writes a post about something interesting that they saw, and everyone has to jump on the most meaningless part of the post, i.e. "I've never seen this before".

For the record, I too saw the Bruins Stars game last year, but regardless, this doesn't happen everyday. Can't we just discuss the actual incident, maybe the players involved, instead of flexing our collective muscles and letting the OP know what a 'rookie' he is for not having seen this occur previously?

Hint: If this thread had gone in a different direction, maybe it wouldn't have died at 10 posts.

So... You are talking about the rookie games?

I know it's a stupid question to ask, but I am curious: were any of these rookies, you know, good at hockey?

I know it's secondary to punching skill, but it's a pet peeve of mine.

The Islanders are building their bad boy image.

Gillies will be named captain on Friday

I remember Randell was an extremely highly touted prospect way back in like '06 or '07

Yeah, there were some good players on both teams. Some top picks from the past few years. As far as the fighters, I'm not sure that any of the skilled players were involved. I think that's what you were asking about.
