Linköping J20 have lost some important players, not only due to age but also to NA junior leagues such as Malte Strömwall and Albin Blomqvist - two players who otherwise would have been key players for LHC J20 this season. Still there's some offensive fire power with Victor Crus-Rydberg, Joachim Nermark and former prodigy Victor Öhman for example. Defense is looking a little bit weaker but goalie Marcus Högberg is one of the top swedish goalie prospects and played a few J20 games last season though being a late -94.

This team should be able to reach topp-8 but J20 SuperElit Södra will be tougher this year with Färjestad re-entering the division and Växjö looking to be serious with their campaign. Rögles golden generation should also be able to make a big difference this year before going into Hockeyallsvenskan with the seniors.

Swiss goalie Luca Boltshauser joins Färjestad. Also, according to hockeymagasinet.com Brynäs wants Färjestad to pay 150 000 sek for center Linus Fröberg.

Watching the preseason game between Frölunda and Malmö, quite good for being a preseason game. 2-2 after two, Frölunda domination though, had a 'non-buzzer beater' at the end of the second period. I think Frölunda have found a gem in Mads Eller, looks really impressive.

Frölunda continued to put pressure in the offensive zone, Malmö looked really weak and didn't get out of their defensive zone for long periods of time, quickly the score ran away and all the sudden it was 6-2 to Frölunda. In the last minute of play Malmö managed to polish the numbers and scored one PP goal and quickly after the faceoff another goal to make it 6-4.

Kid got a nice skill set, but today he just wasn't friends with the puck. First game of the season so I'm not worried, think he'll be a fun player to follow during the year. Don't remember if he put up any points, he made a nice feed to Andreas Johnson who scored on a one timer but the clock just ran out before the puck crossed the line.

I have no idea. Maybe collided with the European Junior Trophy?

Dean Kukan to Lulea

It has been confirmed in the Swiss press that Dean Kukan has signed a two-year contract with Lulea and will start in their J20 team.

Seems like Edgars Kļaviņš is now in AIK J20. Spent few seasons in Sweden already so should have no problem adjusting.

BTW, is there a resource where to see boxscores of J20 team preparatory games

Most impressive start of the season had 1993-born winger Jakob Lilja with 6 points (2+4) in Rögles big win.

Nope, but "Dean" does sound vaguely like "din", which means "your"... So yeah...

Let's all hope that Your Penis has a great season this year...

Gustav Possler who is a late -94 is tearing up! 13G+8A in 13 games. One to watch for 2013.

All set for topp-10! Teams that qualified:

North division:
AIK
Modo
Brynäs
Skellefteå
Djurgården

South division:
Rögle
Frölunda
HV71
Linköping
Södertälje

Luleå and Huddinge were loosers in the last round as the were surpassed by Djurgården and Linköping without playing themselves.

Who do you think will be the champions this year? I think Rögle will have a good chance, They have been doing very well with a very young team. When the playoffs come along hopefully Felix Maegaard Scheel will be back from injury and they can use their juniors that usually plays in Allsvenskan like Alexander Lindqvist-Hansen and Dennis Sywander.

They have very good depth with lots of players in j-18 that do very well when they get a callup to Superelit, one of the youngest team and one of the best.
