Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is the first time I'm watching this tournament.
Only certain teams are invited. It originally was only the teams from the Central Division (since this is Detroit's tourney), but has expanded since then.

I wondered the same. It really is a fantastic tourny from a first timer here watching. And the coverage by MSG is much better than i expected. I am loving this.

parlett has good hockey sense and seems very relaxed when hes got the puck. i like that poise he shows.

his poor play not getting the puck over the line resulting in the 2nd buf goal was weak sauce however.

erixon seems to be a cut above every one else for sure.

buffalo is quite big and very fast. rangers started to pick it up the 2nd half of the period. the top line for buffalo looks dominant.

McNabb is only 6'4 or 6'5 but I really like him. Really, the Sabres are one of those teams in the NHL that I've always harbored a soft spot for and like a lot of their players. I'm eager to see McNabb in the NHL someday, even though he's not projected to be anything special.

I imagine it will, it's gained popularity in the last 3-4 years I wouldn't be surprised to see more games broadcast next year.

Erixon definitely looks like a guy with professional experience playing with a bunch of Jr/College kids. I know there are a couple guys like Luke Adams with a touch of NHL experience and a handful of guys with some AHL experience as well, but Erixon looks, as someone said, a cut above regardless. He just has "it". Hope that assessment stands up when he makes the team this year (he's going to or I'm... Vesa Toskala).

Sweet, one timer in the slot, perfectly aimed with nice power. Looked a lot like D-Step's hattrick goal if that helps you get an idea of it?

Buffalo has been doing a really great job with their sticks in the right place deflecting shots away from the net.
