I think at this point it's come to everyone's attention we've got some serious grit coming in from Odin's Kingdom.
Lander, Hartikainen and Antti are three of the more physical, gritty prospects coming over the pond, and all three could potentially be in Oiler silks.
Obviously all three need to develop first, but at this point Harty and Landy seem pretty good bets, and from what we've seen from Antti he could have a good shot of making it in Oiler silks the next couple of years. He's already beat the crap out of a Flames prospect. So whats everyone think, how we feeling about a possible line for the future..
Hartikainen - Lander - Tyrvainen
Anyone else hearing Euro Death metal in the backround?
I'm pretty excited about the nords, for sure. Though the Finns had their own pantheon of gods apart from the rest of the Norse, and it was still quite interesting (And helped inspire Tolkien's work. Hell Gandalf is suspected of being based off Vainamoinen, an old wizard from the Finnish epic). I think that line would be a perfect fourth line for the Oilers some time during this season, when the inevitable injuries hit.
Don't worry about the Finns, they have Sisu. The more dangerous and tougher it gets, the better. ;-) They usually excel in sports like hockey, F1, Rally, Ski Jumping etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisu
"Sisu—meaning a peculiarly Finnish brand of doggedness, capable of facing down death itself—was at work against the Allies. ... The Finns are not happy. But sisu enables them to say: "We have nothing worse than death to fear."
—Time magazine, May 10, 1943."
I guess there were Vikings from where the country of Finland is too but they mainly came from Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking
Looking at my avatar you see Thor himself as of today? ;-)
