Halak honors Slovakian teammate Demitra with new mask

What a beautiful mask. Love it.

Wow, that image left me speechless.

Props to Halak on a very moving, beautiful tribute.

Would love to give Perezhogin another shot, carbo screwed up his development big time trying to turn him into a checker. Now that the old worthless management is out of the picture another shot should be in order.

Perezhogin left after Kovalev's worst season as a Habs.. Bad mentoring is the main reason why I think he left for Russia.. Of course money is a big factor but if Kovalev had been a good mentor, Im pretty sure Perezhogin would still be here.. 1 or 2 good seasons and he would have got a signifiant pay raise.. the stick swigning incident has certainly not helped his N.A. carreer either..

I like it alot.. I doubt the Habs are interested to have him back so I dont fix my expectations too high but this line-up sure looks very good..

I liked Perezhogin, wouldn't mind giving him another shot. I was at the game against the Flyers were he completely destroyed Primeau

Good for Halak, that is an awesome gesture and mask

Gotta admit though that naming a guy who was like a deer caught in headlights in his only playoff appearance is a dubious choice, to say the least.

So, Benoit Pouliot had a terrible night.

I laughed when I saw Julien's face when Pouliot took a bad penalty.

Did he? Judging by the Bruins' GT, he played pretty well.

He was playing forward, he still scored an important clutch goal and anyway they won't make the playoff.

He played both positions during the playoffs I think, and with a hip injury.

The flak Streit still gets around here is absolutely ridiculous.

Wisniewski, as far as I can tell, has been suspended twice -- once two games for an obscene gesture at Sean Avery and once for eight games for a hit to Brent Seabrook's head. He could be in big trouble for this. It was an intentional, retaliatory elbow to Clutterbuck's head after Wisniewski chased Clutterbuck around for six or seven seconds, finally clocking him at the end of regulation (leading to Dany Heatley's OT winner).

I'm guessing 5+ for him.

Imagine if we kept O'Byrne and had him this season

Like the title says...

Imagine if we kept O'Byrne and had him this season

I see Bournival turning into a third line centre or even fourth a la Maxime Lapierre with some skill and speed, imagine if we instead held on to O'Byrne and kept him in our system going forward.

This season:

Markov - Gorges
Gill - Subban
O'Byrne - Yemelin
Spacek

I always liked him and with a future including Tinordi, Beaulieu and others imagine his size in the line up with them.

Size yes, skills... not so much.

I liked OB but wasn't sad to see him leave. Montreal was not a city he'd flourish in.

We'd be deciding between Yakupov and Grigorenko if we kept O'Byrne.
