Ugh.

Never played under any coach who did something like that. That is nasty. And is, if my math is right, like 6+ miles of hard skating.

Would've preferred last year's 3 mile run. At least that I would've won.

I think they still do a run as well.

A few interesting things out of today...Wolski completely changed his training routine this summer, as we've seen, because of how unsatisfied he was with last year

Dubinsky also changed his training routine and stopped doing running for cardio because of his leg problems he had last year.

9.25 laps per mile. Which is 8.75 miles on the ice today. Fun stuff.

Torts says he believes Wolski took end-of-year meeting "to heart" and realizes "it's time to wake up here" this season
______

I sure hope so.

Not liking what i'm hearing on Sauer so far. Really hope he pulls through and can overcome his injury issues, or else or defense is going to be a lot weaker.

Awful news about Arty, good news about Wolski. Let's hope Arty's knee isn't anything too serious, but if not I guess we get to see another kid in the lineup at the start of the year!

Assuming Arty can't go for the season opener, I imagine Stepan gets bumped up to second line center, Avery slides over to third line center, and MZA makes the lineup.

Feds/Wolski - Gaborik - Richards
Dubinsky - Stepan - Callahan
MZA - Avery - Feds/Wolski
Rupp - Boyle - Prust

If Arty can go, I see MZA starting in Hartford.

I would say Boyle takes third line center, Rupp takes 4th line center and Avery takes 4th line LW.

Not a bad idea either. I really like how Boyle and Prust play together though. I see the Prust-Boyle-Rupp line getting as much, if not more, ice-time than whoever is on the third line, especially if we have the lead.

I am sure AA will be fine but for the record if he is out Boyle moves up to 3rd line C and Rupp is 4th line C. Avery is winger. Buy yea Steps 2nd line for sure. He may be there even with AA in the lineup who knows

Inflamed tendons? Not severe just can be painful and you have to rest it for the inflammation to go down

Bruce Berlet has written about Stajcer going back the OHL

Quote:
Johnson, Cam Talbot and rookie Scott Stajcer apparently will vie for the two spots in Hartford after Rangers director of player personnel Gordie Clark said during the prospects tournament that the 6-foot-8 Missiaen would be going to Greenville to see how he develops. Clark and Schoenfeld also have said Stajcer is scheduled to return to the Ontario Hockey League as an overage junior after missing much of last season because of hip surgery in November. But a strong first game in the prospects tournament and an impressive camp could put Stajcer in position to end up in Hartford and make Johnson or Talbot trade bait.

“Stajcer had a tough year last year (injury-wise),” Schoenfeld said, “so we want to see him really have a successful season and play a lot, and we think he will. But you never know what can happen (in training camp).”
