Happy to see this is the line Murray is going to start with for now, puts to rest those hideous rumors of Ethan Moreau getting a look in that 3rd line spot.
I love that 3rd line as well. The top 2 lines are plenty proficient as stopper lines, so our 3rd line doesn't need to be that. Solid faceoff man, sniper / skilled player & a grinder with some offensive ability. Sounds perfect!

#LAKings GM Dean Lombardi on Penner's weight... it's not the most important number, but he went from 260 when we got him to 243 now.

#LAKings Penner - 'I felt quicker and stronger...from start of my push, w/my legs at a 45* angle, all the way through, without losing power'

Penner on new #LAKings shirts - 'I don't have a problem w/ GRIT. But, I would have liked to be part of the think tank re: GRITTIER on back.'

mitchell-johnson
scuderi-martinez
voynov/muzzin/hickey-greene
drewiske

that way, hypothetically, you have an OFD and a DFD on each pairing (at least, i think; i'm calling martinez an OFD for the sake of this argument, and i don't know too much about the play styles of voynov/muzzin/hickey). clarification as to why the pairings aren't done this way is more than welcome.
You are correct, you were just slightly missing the point. We weren't saying that Voynov or Hickey would be expected to jump up and be the first pairing D, just that they would assume the spot left by Doughty. The pairings would look like this:

Johnson - Scuderi
Mitchell - Voynov/Hickey/Muzzin
Martinez - Greene

ok, that's what i thought, but i had seen some pairings where people seemed to be putting DD's replacement on the first pairing. but this is the first time that i've seen it suggested that mitchell be taken off the first pairing, unless that's what TG was suggesting as well. they leave johnson with scuderi and make them the first pairing--arguably because they have chemistry and have played together for quite some time?

Is Voynov the only one that hopes Drew doesn't sign any time soon?

No Williams in the morning session. Hunter moved up to the line with Penner and Kopitar. Nolan moves to the line with Moreau and Loktionov. Cajovsky moves from D to F onto the line with Kozun and Vey. Hopefully they're just trying to get Hunter some looks on an offensive line and Williams isn't hurt.

Let's hope so. He could also just be a little sick today, though.
