much like barry melrose, i think the best player wins the trade. people dont always like kovy so ill take flak there but to me its hands down kovy. much like jr, ill throw in what i have to so i acquire what i want. in this league its tough to get trades, and i hate to finagle over a long period of time so i just estimate what i can afford to give and throw it at the wall to see what sticks. worked for the sedin trade last year. other than nash i lose no one off my roster and kovy takes his place.

im just a huge kovy fan in general. worth overpaying to get what i want. especially in a free league. in the end though i think i could still end up taking this one. dont care though, probably wouldnt have used anyone other than nash this year.

trade approved. Bleed's reasoning for this trade makes sense and frankly it's fairly obvious considering where he's been in the standings the past few seasons. On the other side, it's pretty obvious that Tanabe is picking up some nice long term pieces here and a very useful one immediately in Nash.

I hear you, I guess for me personally Nash is really not far down from Kovy at all, and you sent back two other stud prospects as well... If I were you, I wouldn't do it, but of course that doesn't matter at all, because I'm NOT you . All personal preference I guess, and I see where you're coming from...

I am not protecting Matt Moulson. He scored 31 goals for the second year in a row last year, and plays on Tavares' line. You may be able to pick him up for free in the veteran's draft, but so may I or any of the other 10 GMs.

If you're willing to trade a medium-grade prospect for a 30-goal scorer, let me know.

We have a trade to announce. Matt Moulson will go to Team White Box in exchange for their next (4th round) pick in the prospect draft.

I'll announce both picks as soon as I get confirmation that this is approved.

Nepotism finally sneaks its way into a Raleigh Llama choice.

It's a bonus pick, so why not take the guy you pumped up (even though it's probably too early)?

I feel somewhat cheated for not getting Hofmann despite my full throttle cheerleading!

I just PM'ed Jonathan.

It's likely that he was thrown off by Vagrant's 12-minute turnaround time.

Rakell was taken in Round 2.
