^ Basically my thoughts, You'd would have to think that at his age he would want to go the biggest contender available?

Don't think you'd be too "thrilled" after watching him...he's declined pretty heavily; there's a reason he hasn't been signed yet.

I truly believe that if you really need a bomb from the point on the PP, and can slide him in as your number 6 and maybe shield him then McCabe wouldn't be a bad choice. Otherwise, I don't know why you'd want him.

Isles are good on the PP and don't need any liabilities so I don't know why they need McCabe.

I'd give him an invite to camp to see what he has left.

No he can't unless he found Ponce DeLeon's fountain of youth. All I remember watching last year was guys pulling away from him night in and night out. If I am the isles he gets nothing more than a tryout!

McCabe is no longer a top 4 and certainly won't play on the Islanders top 4.

Training camp invite, and let him prove he can beat out Mottau and Wishart. That's the absolute max I would give him.

If he wants playing time, go to the islanders.
If we wants a chance to win the cup, go to vancouver.
I don't see any fit for him with the blues.

I really don't see much use for him on the Blues. They have Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk for the PP. on the left side they have Colaiacovo who is actually the better player currently.

Injuries aside, he's behind Streit, Hamonic, MacDonald, Eaton and Jurcina. Dogfight between him, Mottau and Wishart for that 6th spot.

He's not going to get PP time.

If I am McCabe my choice is pretty clear. Go to the Canucks and try to win a Cup. I just think he's a little weary of doing that after seeing a much better Keith Ballard a healthy scratch throughout the playoffs.

Vancouver makes no sense as they are deeper on D than anywhere else at the moment. Unless Hamhuis is still out. And adding McCabe won't help there.

He's a better fit in Stl for the short term. However he's almost as redundant there as he is in Vancouver.

NYI is the obvious choice if he wants icetime. That's likely where he'll end up.

But don't count SJ out. They likely think that this is their year.

We could rest Salo for the playoffs a bit if we sign him, but if we do get him under contract things do not look good for Ballard who was looking like he would get a solid chance this year with Erhoff gone.

Vancouver seems to be inviting a lot of guys on tryouts. Could it be maybe to rest some of the big guns during pre-season?

Logjam? He could definitely beat out Huskins for the 7th spot and when Colaiacovo gets hurt, he could be a good fill in and spot starter.

Montreal probably goes after him if/when Markov gets hurt.
