it was a live broadcast on csnphilly.com but it ended a couple minutes ago. I'm sure csn will have some clips later probably flyers.nhl.com too.

Personally I'm stoked for his season... I loved to hate him and razz him when he was a Pen, a Cap and a Rag -- whatsamatta-u, Isles...waiting for his very last season? LOL -- but I always begrudgingly respected him and his O prowess... and feared him every shift on the ice.

I was happy Homer stole him... both for what he possibly could do here AND because the Pens, Wings and other contenders lost out on him. I imagined him being the missing cog on a good team... and he was rumored headed to quite a few bitter rivals.

I like his attitude at the PC and think he'll be good in the room and helping the young players grow... and help the Flyers not lose too many steps back before getting it together for another serious run at he Cup -- I honestly have no idea what to expect this season from them... like most others -- If nothing else, I expect Jagr to keep things fun this coming season... and maybe longer.

This is a bit of a rhetorical statement, because we know the answer, but he said that he didn't think Penguins fans wanted him since they booed him all the time. Yet, I don't think I've ever seen a Flyers game where Jagr was on the other team and he wasn't being booed.

That's different though. He was the visiting player and he usually dominated the Flyers so it's understandable.

Jagr being a Flyers is still completely hilarious to me. I never, ever, expected to see him as a Philadelphia Flyer.

No doubt, seems so weird. Although the thought of he and Roo on the same PP has me a little excited.

Jagr’s Value to Flyers Will Extent Beyond Play on Ice
http://nhlhotstove.com/jagrs-value-t...d-play-on-ice/

Quote:
It is indeed a strange sight to see winger Jaromir Jagr donning the Orange-and-Black, especially for those residing in such arch-rival NHL cities as Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

For those of us who have witnessed the entire career of the Czech-native, the visions of a young Jagr scoring so many highlight reel goals for the Penguins – and so many against the Flyers – immediately comes to mind.

After winning a second Stanley Cup in just his second NHL season with the Penguins, Jagr alluded to the fact that things were coming pretty easy, and that he expected the result year after year.

Now 39 years old and having experienced much during the past 21 years, he is much wiser in his expectations – and knows the sacrifice involved with attaining such heights. ”Well, to be honest, when I came in the league, I was 18 years old,” Jagr said yesterday. ”During the Communist years, there were not many people (in Czechoslovakia) who knew about the NHL. All we knew about were the Olympics and Czech Leagues. That was my first time out of the house, I was a little bit homesick, and I wanted to go home after the season. But we kept winning and winning and then we won the Stanley Cup. I didn’t appreciate what I won. I thought it was going to be like that every year.”

Homer: oops i did it again!!

Jagr signing remains me of the shelley signing

Shelley: Scores two goals against the flyers in the last game of the season 2 years ago, so homer overpaid for him to get him in his team. Fantastic move as we all know

Jags: He plays his whole carreer against us and scores a lot, so Homer tries to overpay for him, but he didn´t reach the overpayment ^^

Hopefully Jags reaches the expectations more than Shelley did last year! ^^

They have no one to blame but themselves. As he said, when he went to Pitt as a Ranger or Capital, they booed him everytime he touched the puck....
