It started at 10, but if you want to watch the second half of the game, it's on right now.

Yeah, we just need a really hot goalie. Then our defense to block a ton of shots and hope the other team has a ****** goalie with ****** defense.

As opposed to a cold goalie and a defence that lets everything go by?

What you just described is what usually is needed for a team to win the Cup - unless the offence can pump out 8 goals a game consistently.

So do I. We could have re-signed him for the peanuts he got in TB.

Nice seeing both Markov and Gorges out there. Gorges' absence last season might be a bit understated.

While Markov's absence hurt us, we really started going down only when Gorges left us. Notice that Wiz was traded for only AFTER Gorges went for surgery, not when Markov re-injured.

It was right around this time that somebody started the "Have the seas parted for Pittsburgh?" thread.

Man, I'd already forgotten how often Halak kicked rebounds RIGHT into the slot.

Another reason why I believe people overestimate Halak's performance during this playoff. Our defensive capability to CLEAR THE PUCK and protect the goalie's bad shooting lanes while clearing the good lanes was out of this world, giving us a fighting chance.

Halak's lesser rebound control was another reason I rooted for keeping Price during the 2010 summer. Sell high, buy low.

Us Habs fans didn't troll that thread nearly as much as we could have...

And who the Hell just flung the puck around the boards at the end instead of sitting on it in the Washington zone?

I don't think I watched this on TSN originally, but Pierre was in fine form. "Gionta and Gomez brought in for the chemistry they showed at the World Jr championships in Manitoba in the late 90s."

Let's not get too proud of that. What you see is probably post-moderation censoring. Seeing how much our mods are active in the playoffs, you are lucky there is still some trolling on display.

Gonchar couldn't do anything on the play, or else he would have gotten a penalty.

I'm not sure of any team that's strategy was to sit back and block a ton of shots while the goalie is making 40+ saves without overtime.

Hal Gill had 30 blocks throughout the first series.

Philadelphia man handled us. There's no "We could have gone all the way" that year.
