gratchev was with us a few years ago, played in elmira.

Maybe he's ready to play in the AHL now. Kind of sucked miserably in russia so this might be his only option.

bian stewart is the 6th goalie at sens camp. Probably goes to elmira. Makes sense because even if they like machovsky, they have to send him back to the ohl.

Right..we needed that extra goalie in case Ottawa calls up/injury Lehner or McKenna..

Weird. Max looked super old today at the scrimmage. Filthy McTovie needs some more youthful and awesome friends (like me).

It's the russian equivalent to a smily. I was looking at a couple other Russians formsprings, and they all do it )))))))

I'm thinking that the Gratchev signing is to keep Filatov happy when he spends time in the AHL...

Never thought of that, but wow, that isn't the craziest thing I've heard on here.

Still, you have to think that Filatov will get all the chances he needs to make the big club here.

Nah, gratchev has a history in the organization. He just took a 1-year break to try to make it in the KHL, but because that didnt work out he's back.

Had the chance to talk to Max Gratchev today at the Fanfest. I asked him why he came back to North America. He told me he wants another crack at the NHL. He felt there was a good opportunity for him in the Sens organisation. Told me playing in the NHL is still his dream. Told me everybody wants to play in NHL it's the best league in the world.
