Guess it's unlikely that Indonesia would ever develop any power forwards since their average height is 1,58 cm (5'2'') .
Our average height is only 1,78 cm ?!

Had 0+1 in the first game of Nuorten SM-Liiga against K-Vantaa, which TPS won 3-10.
At least today he is in the lineup against Ässät.

Well, according to Wikipedia, yes. Swedes are among the tallest. But then again, an average Canadian male is "only" 1,76 m tall.

Pretty irrelevant if you ask me.

Edit: I didn't catch the cm part...

Juuso Ikonen 2games and 6P at Jr. A i think that Ikonen will destroy Granlunds numbers.

He's been really good. Coach Virta said he was TPS' best player in the game and I agree with him. Very calm and confident with the puck. I hope he stays in the lineup. Impressive for a 16-year old.

6. Alexander Barkov
7. Teemu Pulkkinen
8. Miikka Salomäki
9. Joonas Donskoi
10. Sami Vatanen
11. Ville Pokka
12. Teuvo Teräväinen
13. Sami Aittokallio
14. Markus Granlund

I dont see so much in Joel Armia than most right now, ofc I hope he proves me wrong again.

My ranking of todays top 9 prospects (noyt yet in NHL) right now. Seen them playing so less that its prettymuch feeling. I think Granlund is clear number 1 and Junttila has been more than solid, very good. After it that aint so clear, but I think Vatanen is so decent D-man allready at hes age that he deserves high spot too.

1. Mikael Granlund
2. Julius Junttila
3. Sami Vatanen
4. Miikka Salomäki
5. Teemu Pulkkinen
6. Joonas Donskoi
7. Joel Armia
8. Markus Granlund
9 Alexander Ruuttu

The ranking is really based what i've seen for a while from these players. Player like Ma. Granlund is someone who i expect something from, but havent yet been made sure that he's as good as he seems based on playing in juniors. Just put him into the list because im waiting to see something when he gets to play. Same goes for Ruuttu. I havent even seen him playing, but the hype put him on my personal waiting list.

I hope to god this is some kind of a bad joke.

Juntti(la) 2nd? That alone made me laugh out loud. He's barely an Sm-Liiga player, sure he has some nice goals but no NHL potential there.
Pulkkinen, Donskoi, and Salomäki before Armia? Come on.

1.Barkov Junior
2.Mi.Granlund
3.Joel Armia
4.Rasmus Ristolainen
5.Olli Määttä
6.Sami Vatanen
7.Miikka Salomäki
8a.Teuvo Teräväinen
8b.Teemu Pulkkinen
10. Chris Gibson

(11.) Alexander Ruuttu

(4938.) Markus Granlund
(4939.) Julius Junttila

Something like that.

Everytime i see Ässät play, Armia does about nothing so special like they hype him to do. I just see lots of hype about him but then he does not impress when I see him play. Everytime I see Kärpät playing and Junttila gets on Ice, he plays great. This season "for sure" hes gonna be higher in scoring than Armia i bet, if he gets to play in top 6 like i would bet. You might be right about that Pulkkinen shouldn't be over Armia thought, he hasnt shown anything that special neither atleast just lately, but saw him more on european trophy.

I dont really even see why is Armia so high draft pick. Sure some nice goals from him. For example Junttila plays bout 10min per game but is looking far more impressive and also gets it done relatively very good into that time.

You saying junttila is barely SM-Liiga player made me laugh too, are you living in a barrel?

I agree Armia has better high in hes potentional, but as I said i made my ranking based on how i've seen them playing myself, not on their potential. For sure i would raise him on the list if he started to play like he should, as a "famouse top prospect". Granlund is getting tons of hype but aint there because of it, its because he actually has been so ****ing good. As i mentioned Ma. Granlund and Ruuttu were the only two added at the end just because I wanted to mention those two. Havent seen them playing much yet so Im not gonna really put them anywhere on my list yet.

Its also not like i'd possibly pick Junttila before Armia if i was making the draft pick, Armia still probably holds more offensive potentional in him i think. Its just tracking their performance based on what i have seen myself. I dont like make listings based on what others say.

Question for Tormentor/other users familiar with Finnish juniors under the draft age:

Have you seen Esa Lindell(-94) play? He has played a big role (most icetime of all players) in Jokerit A-juniors these couple games and has answered back by leading the team in points as a rookie defenceman. Has a big body and has scored points at each level he has played at. A user with lots of knowledge on the Jokerit junior organization described him as "a XL-version of Teemu Eronen" which is a pretty interesting description Another user said "a big and mobile defenceman with good hockey sense who has a chance of making a strong and long carreer if he stays healthy". He also played at the Ivan Hlinka so I guess he has a good chance of making the U18 WC's?

Jokerit seem to have quite a few big, young d-men: Petteri Lindbohm(-93), Lindell(-94), Alex Lintuniemi(-95), Santeri Saari(-94), Jere Sneck(-94) etc.

I haven’t paid too much attention to Lindell yet, but I think it’s safe to say that he’s still a very much a work in process and needs to improve a lot in all aspects of the game.

An XL-version of Teemu Eronen would probably be a 1st rounder, so definitely an interesting description, but my limited observations differ quite a bit. I think he needs to work on his skating, coordination and agility. His awareness and reading of the game seems to be lacking a bit as well / needs improvement. Also I think that his puck skills aren’t anything special, maybe average at best. I guess he’s doing something right, because he’s getting quite a lot of ice time, but so far I’m not overly impressed by him.

I think that Määttä, Pokka, Vainonen, Ristolainen and Lehtonen will make the team, if healthy and available that is. Also I’d probably have Tikkinen as the 6th defenseman at the moment. Lindell is probably one of the strongest candidates after that, but it’s a long season and a lot can happen before the WU18C’s.

Naturally the best way for you to get a view of him as a player is to go and see him play yourself. At the same time you can check how Teräväinen and Ruuttu are performing at the moment.

Thanks for you view! I'm planning on going to see the Jokerit-Tappara game this Sunday, so hopefully I'll see Barkov&Tanus along with TT, Ruuttu, Korpisalo, Kiviranta etc. Lots of interesting prospects in that game.

Apart for Barkov/Tanus, who would you recommend keeping an eye on from Tappara?

Atte Mäkinen might be one if he's in the line-up, but Barkov, Tanus, Teräväinen, Ruuttu, Korpisalo, Kiviranta, Lindell... should be plenty for one game.

Does anyone know anything about Jokerit defenseman Esa Lindell? I have seen him playing only once this season. I Noticed that he's a big D, and he showed a fairly good point shot. Does he have a chance to get drafted? I will see him playing more, though.

EDIT; Tormentor told about him already...

Rasmus Ristolainen with a decent start for season. 16 year old d-man scored two goals in game against ilves, the second goal was bit lucky thought but he did the right thing and delivered the puck to the net with a wristshot and catched litle bounche there.

Did not make mistakes otherwise out there, played decend game.

Ristolainen played very well today indeed. He told media that "he intended to shoot the puck towards the net for rebounds but they both went in" and certainly the 2nd goal was a bit of a lucky bounce. Still, very mature and productive game for the 16-year old, especially considering his age.
