I'm not saying Price will be as good as Brodeur but I don't see why Price could not have the same conditioning.
Why take the risk of burning him out though?..Why play him against the Senators for example. I would rather him start less than 70 games and be sure that he is fresh other than starting him for 70-75 games and be biting my nails in the playoffs not knowing if he's well rested. I don't care what other goalies have done, maybe if Brodeur was rested sometimes in the reg season when he was younger he would be a better goalie today. But that's just speculation. I am just saying that rest for Price will only benefit him, and the team.

Went with the obvious answer... All of them.

But seriously 60 games would be ideal, depending on Budaj's play

He may need to start all of them to keep us in the playoff hunt. I'm hoping Budaj can show he's capable of going to and play 6 or 7 solid games before Christmas so Price will be well rested when we need him at his best.

I'm amaze people still believe We need to rest goalie ! It's not demanding to be a goalie in the NHL....60 minutes of " work" 2-3 days a week for a professionial athlete wow big deal. On the 60 minutes half the time the puck is not even in the defensive zone...add to this that they have 2 break of 15 minutes and multiple little break because of offside, icing , penalty , commercial ect.

lol are you kidding? If any NHL player or GM/Coach seen what you just said they would laugh. I know where your coming from but its not as easy as you think. Specially for a big guy like Price. Goalies have admitted that rest is always good to keep them fresh.

Didn't like the fact that he played games back-to-back. [I]t would be wise to rest him a bit more.

I voted 65 to 70 games, getting into his peek, now is the time to play him. If the Habs are off to a great start and doing well in the standings I can see Martin giving more starts to Budaj so it really all depends how we are doing IMO

Have you ever stood around for 60 minutes in extremely heavy equipment even without playing a game? Nuff said.

1 game for Budaj everytime it's 3 games in 4 nights for the 1st 2-3 months

Every time the habs do a back-to-back from Christmas and on.

So
Budaj:
1 game in october
2 games in november
1 game in december
2 games in january
1 game in february
2 games in march
1 game in april

That's 10 games.
Add 2 with good timing to give Price a long break or two (example: like the Panthers game for the dec-31 so Price have a 5 days break)

Add 3 games for when Budaj actually deserved another start (effectively giving some more good rests for Price).

And you're up to 15 games.

67 for Price is perfect.
