Winnipeg's lineup looks much better in this one than it does in the Columbus game. Interesting that Burmi's centering Ladd and Antro. Should be interesting. Sad thing is Burmi has more sandpaper in his game than Antro, and Antro dwarfs him.

Winnipeg wins this one 4-2. Ron Hainsey scores 6 goals. 2 one timers, a breakaway complete with spin-o-rama and then banks one off the glass into the net. He then gets bored, puts on his old CBJ jersey and scores two more on the PK just for fun. Then he gets back into his transporter and completes the game in Columbus.

Yeah, I see 5-2 Jets in this one too, we seem to have a much stronger lineup here..

Too bad I didn't end up with the tickets for this game but it will still be sweet to watch some Jets hockey on TV.

According to Sara Orlesky this is how the Jets fit together their lines in practice:

Ladd - Antropov - Pesonen
Telegin - Cormier - Bodie
Wiebe - Burmistrov - Gregoire
Maxwell - Scheifele - Clark

http://twitter.com/#!/saraorlesky/st...69319330746368

I'm guessing she accidentally flipped Gregoire and Wiebe in that tweet.

If I could change one thing aboot tonight, it would be my company. Even though they are my best friends... They know that I know that they know nothing aboot hockey, realistically. The implications of tonights game are not completely realized to them. I will be bawling my eyes out, they will not.

Technically the "home opener" is tonight against the Jets. They kept many of their best players for tomorrow night's game versus the Caps at Nationwide. Nothing quite like scheduling 3 games in two days.

This is going to be an unreal game for obvious reasons.

-Kind of cool as well as 2 former Wheat Kings captains will be facing each other for the first time (Wiebe/Calvert)

-Russell bros (I know we are wpg fans) playing together for first time in the NHL

-Scheifele's first live appearance in the peg

-I'm also curious to see how Aebischer looks

-Aaron Bogosion -- Zachs bro??

have a ticket to the game but can't use it because i'm in the rok. man, if i knew this was going to happen back in 2009 when i came here, maybe that would have altered my decision. if i had been more sure of it in 2010 then maybe i wouldn't have renewed my contract. looking forward to coming back home to the peg in 5 months and seeing some games live. til then, i'm jealous of y'all that get to go these games live, and get to soak up the energy in the city that they will create. had a great time when i came back to the city in the summer and i'm sure the good vibes and positive energy i felt then is only going to grow and grow with each game. have fun watching the game tonight (this morning for me) everyone, i'm hoping i can find an online stream to watch it here in the good ol rok. go jets go!!

Yes.

Not sure how to link a specific Twitter post, so I'll quote it. Portzline is the CBJ beat writer.

Bogosian's probably won't scrap, Zach says:"My mom wouldn't like that at all." But he does have a surprise for Aaron. Details later.

Interesting that Janne Pesonen is on the first line with Ladd and Antropov. I heard he looked good at the IcePlex. Might have a real shot at making the team.
