It was in the Sun this morning.

Quote:
NO STONE UNTURNED

The Senators signed C Mark Stone, a sixth-round pick in 2010, but he will return to Brandon to play for former Ottawa coach Cory Clouston. “We thought the best (idea) was to get it done as quick as we could,” said assistant GM Tim Murray. “It takes a little bit of weight off his shoulders and he can go back to Brandon to just concentrate on his year.” Stone should get a chance to play a major role for Canada at the world juniors. “It definitely was a pleasant surprise,” said Murray. “It was great for us we were able to get him in the sixth round and we think he’s better than a sixth-round pick. He’s come a long way so far and if he continues to work hard he’ll play in the NHL.”

Oh my god, I hope we get Pageau back... I want him to play for the Sens one day, but we need him back right now.

Hey Tampa, if you're listening, I'd like to have Jnok back too...

You'll be getting him back pretty quick.

Puempel and Noesen heading back, sounds like.

I would have liked to see him get a few more games. IMO he didn't look very far off from being an NHLer last game, it would have be nice to see him play another one to see how he performs with a little less nerves and pressure.

It sounds like the CHLers are getting cut. Does anyone know if Kramer took part in any of the scrimmages or on ice practices, it looked like he missed at least part of them.

Good to hear Murray speaking highly of him. That's how it should be done.

And yeah, godbless anyone who doesn't read the Ottawa Sun.

Ian Mendes says 5 guys going back to junior...

Could they hold on to Prince a little longer?

Pageau, Noesen, Puempel, Stone, Culek....? Fransoo?

Stone, Pageau, Fransoo, Puempel, Culek would be my guess. Give Noesen and Prince a game.

I'm guessing Puempel, Prince, Culek and Pageau were sent back as well.

I'd like to see how Noesen does in a game.

Good on Prince if he survives this.

Taken right infront of the 3rd round but I gotta say, I wouldn't be surprised if he handled some NHL action fairly well.

I guess them keeping Pageau around stays in line with the words from our management. Pageau didn't really get a chance to earn it at camp in games, as he didn't play much due to injury....but again, good on Shane Prince, very solid showing thus far.

Dorion: Said it was his favourite pick in the draft
Murray: Thinks he could play in the AHL this year, if he was eligible.

guess they didnt see enough in machovsky to give him a contract. Oh well, guess we'll have to continue filling our goalie depth with career ahlers.

But... what about Mike Brodeur? That guy deserves Ottawa's starter's job! He was amazing in Ottawa! As usual, Ottawa drops the ball and misses out on an unbelievable talent...

also, in case anyone missed it the first time:

Why would they send down noesen and puempel without giving them a game but keep up lessard who's useless and injures his teamates by gooning it up in practice. We already have enough fighters in smith, neil, konopka, carkner, etc. Id rather see what our shiny new first round picks can do.

Sending them back so they can prepare for their respective seasons in their junior leagues.

Looks like Prince and Pageau will play against Boston and get sent to their junior teams after that.

good to see Princey still up with the big boys, I expect him to see some regular season action at some point this year for the Sens on an emergency recall basis from Junior.

Interesting that Prince. Pageau and Kramer all made the first cut. I wonder if they all dress against Boston tomorrow.

Edit: Didn't Culek get a game in the NHL last season. I guess he is as good as done with the org at this point.
