Most of them are, but you can clearly see that the one closest to the bench in that photo is through to the main surface and I'm sure there are more that we can't see from that angle.

It's a preseason game they should reconsider playing it

That ice doesn't look too bad. It's clear which means it should have a smooth surface. I've skated on ice with cracks like that before and it can look awful but be perfectly smooth on top. Some of it was actually pretty good ice as I recall. I'd much rather have ice like that than ice that's chopped up on top where it looks snowy.

I'd rather have Ovechkin, Backstrom, Semin, Green, Alzner, Weber, Suter, Rinne, Erat, etc. not taking chances with their health.

So I take it you want credit for this? So we can blame you if Weber or Suter tear a ligament?

Getting ready to start the game. Apparently 3 ceremonial faceoffs first though...

Did I just hear that Ellis stepped into and laid out Ovechkin?

Yes, it's his second big hit of the night...

Mueller from Weber and Bergfors... it's 1-0 Preds!!!

Two game goal scoring streak for Mueller!

Mueller on the backdoor from Weber and Bergfors. Sounded like Weber made a great play. He was down low holding on to the puck, drew people to him, then sent it cross crease to a wide open Mueller staring at an empty net. 1-0

End 2, Preds lead 1-0 on a rink described repeatedly as a "slip and slide" with puddles of water all over the place...

Pretty excited to see Mueller lighting the lamp.

Very good news about ellis throwing the body. Maybe he will pan out better than I expected. Really upset about Josi though. I think he is going to be an absolute STUD.

Obviously it's hard to tell without visuals, but Kyle Wilson has looked good in camp and I've heard a lot of his name thus far in both preseason games he's played in. If Blake is injured to start the year (had his wrist stepped on last night in Florida), I think Wilson might be making a strong push for a roster spot (assuming Fisher is still out and Spaling plays on the wing if he is back)...

Agreed, it's been very nice to see that a lot of our smaller and younger guys have gotten bigger, stronger, and faster over the summer. I give a lot of credit to David Good for that. Colin Wilson has slimmed down, but many others (Blum, Geoffrion, Halischuk, Bourque, Ellis, Watson, etc) have all filled out their frames this summer and it's showing on the ice...

We have A LOT of NHL ready players this season heading to Milwaukee. We graduated a lot of guys into the NHL last season, but this year with the incoming crop of rookies, new depth signings, and just the continued development of some guys has made this a very deep roster especially at forward...

Colin Wilson from Niclas Bergfors and Chris Mueller!!! 2-0 Preds!!!

2nd goal of the preseason for Wilson, two assists tonight for Bergfors, and Chris Mueller is now a fight away from a Gordie!

why is everyone saying Wilson has slimmed down? He is listed again this year at 210 pounds? Maybe he got a haircut?
Also, I have heard that he, unlike others, has trouble keeping his body fat up? It has been a problem (if you want to call it that), for many years.
On another note. I find it so hard to listen to your games! Terry Crisp "rambles" on and on, when he finally comes back to what he supposed to be doing, he is just in time to say "and there is a whistle"!!!!! The guy drives me nuts.

Sorry. Another question. Is Hornqvist playing? And Smithson? I have not heard their names at all tonight. Maybe because Crisp is too busy reminising!!!!!

He still looks very strong, but has noticeably lost weight in his midsection and it is showing in terms of speed. I'm guessing he worked hard this summer to build muscle and lose the bulk...

Crispy is brutal to listen to on the radio. Pete is good by himself, but gets sidetracked by Crisp. Callahan is used to doing it on his own, so he doesn't get as sidetracked...but is still better without Crispy. I love Crispy on TV though...
