That's cool you know a player. Do you mind me asking if he's a prospect or an NHLer?

I hope he does well.

I understand things weren't working out here, and Fogarty looks pretty good, but I wish things would have went better for Grachev in our system.

I'm going to assume Larsson plays as well. Should be a fun game. Hockey is back!

Man Toronto is still bad. Everyone calling for them to make the playoffs is delusional. Every year they say this is the year, and every year they are terrible. I do not see any difference this season, even if they do have some good young players.

Yup, same story every year. Rookie Player A is a the real deal, Player B will take the next step, Player C will prove last year wasnt a fluke, defense will get better and so on. Yet they just keep on sucking. Same story every year. They could challenge for a playoff spot but they wont make it. East is deeper this year than last year.

No Zuccarello..... Suprised. Would think Torts would use him in as much pre-games as possible to see if has what it takes.

They are gonna challenge the Rangers for longest drought between Cups. Mark my words. Ten years to go.

I call it the Islanders/ Maple Leafs syndrome. They have a splendid end run of the season, when they're already out of the picture and teams don't waste their gas on them, play their backups against them, their players don't feel any pressure, etc... and they believe "this is it", every time. Then the next season starts, they get mauled in the first half of the season and the pattern repeats itself, again and again and again.

The Isles look better on paper than in a long time though, but I wouldn't hold my breath if they end in the bottom 5. As usual.

So pumped for tonight. Glad Dubinsky is playing (also psyched to see Kovy play against some of our younger/lesser d-men, especially since it doesn't matter if we win this game, technically speaking). Going to this one and the one at NJ on Friday; wonder who will dress on Friday. So happy to have Rangers hockey back.

The TU center is the home of the AHL Albany Devils. You're walking into Devils territory.

I'm expecting to see a lot of Ranger fans though.

I'm sure he'll play friday. No one is gonna play every preseason game. I'm also thinking that they want to get the junior players in early cause they will probably be the 1st cuts before heading to europe

Yet Leafs fans still think we're a bubble team just like they are. They are among the most delusional fans in all of sports.

Glad hockey is back. LGR!

I only saw the highlights of TOR/PHI last night, but Leafs defense was shocking. Reimer's in for a helluva year.

Interesting pairings on D. Missing like ten FWDs up front (Wolski, Richards, Gaborik, Callahan, Feds, Stepan, Zuc, Boyle, Prust, Rupp...) which should lead to a very trying test for the whole squad .

Ehh, the night before against Ottawa their defense looked okay.

Their problem is that they have no identity with all of the turnover on their roster every year. They don't grind so they play run and gun, but they don't have the skill to win on most nights like that because their defense has been worse than most other teams and outside of Kessel, Grabovski and Kulemin they have no punch up front.

Connoly IMO is going to be a HUGE bust. He slows the attack down which no one else does.

Kadri was BY FAR their best player on the ice.

Luke Schenn is going to be a monster. Wish the Rangers had jumped at the opportunity to grab him when there were rumors he was available.....

On a side-note:
Burmistrov looked like a totally new player in Winnepeg in their pre-season game. He reminded me of Datsyuk. Puck on a strong, making moves at full-speed most players couldn't even comprehend. He is going to be a VERY good player and he looks to have gotten A LOT stronger since last season with checkers bouncing off of him.
