His CV also gives the impression that he is an exclusively N. American scout. Looking for recognizable names that he probably worked on in that period yields pretty much Kulikov and, depending on how much work he did in 2010 (his last year with the org), Erik Gudbranson, Nick Bjugstad, Quinton Howden and John McFarland.
If he worked more on trades, it's not a particularly pretty picture. Just looking over a few, trading Dominic Moore for a 2nd to the Habs and Seidenburg for Bitz in 2010 aren't particularly pretty. In 2007, Salei for Skrastins (RIP) and a 3rd isn't great, but Vokoun for a next year's first a second, and a conditional second seems pretty spot on. Of course this is totally speculative and unscientific. Just looking around at what I can drag up.

I still didn't catch that can you repeat it?
Seriously though, hopefully the guy is good. West Island representin'
I take it from this hire that we're going to start taking look at some young goalies. That appears to be Myre's area of focus, given he was coaching it at a pro level.
Still, a resume coaching goalies in Ottawa isn't all that encouraging. That franchise has been searching for goaltending pretty much since they came back into the league.

Appreciate the research but let's be fair, an HF poster could have drafted those names

Being fair we really don't even know who he had a part of drafting anyways really. It's all speculation. But yeah... anyone could have drafted those guys.
All I really hope is that he can successfully motivate our players to treat hockey as their career, not a hobby.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I only posted that to show that the guy hasn't exactly found any North American diamonds in the rough. Florida's draft record is pretty unremarkable, with only their high picks turning into anything useful, as far as I can tell. And useful on the Florida Panthers doesn't necessarily mean anything at all.
I sound like I'm being hard on the guy, but I don't mean to be. I don't know how scouts are really qualified anyway, except superstars like Hakan Andersson. I wish him the best of luck.

For all you know, he could have been against the picks Florida made and wanted to go in another direction.
I don't deny it. As I've said a few times now- completely unscientific, just breezing through things, I don't know how scouts are qualified as being better than one another unless they really find off the map guys time and time again ala Hakan Andersson. Any other caveats I should include?
