Davis back in Halifax

After one exhibition game with the San Diego Gulls, George Davis was sent back to the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL as an overager.

Playing Juniors is probably better for his development than playing ECHL, but was he really not good enough for AHL?

if he wasn't good enough for ECHL then he's not good enough for AHL

wow...so why did we give him a entry level contract?

I can understand it's good to have a young enforcer within the organization...is that the only reason?

gave him a contract because he was impressive after the Moose acquired him from Cape Breton and played him constantly
he came to camp and he wasn't as good as the team hoped for, so they sent him to the AHL, he wasn't as good as Cincy hoped for so they sent him to ECHL, he wasn't as good as San Diego hoped so they sent him back to the Q

Sounds like he would have been a 4th line player at best for the Gulls but in Halifax he'll be a top 6 forward and a leader of the team. Playing time will be a big key for him to improve.

I'm disappointed though, I wanted to see him in a few games down here.
