This team needs to get rid of Nodl, ASAP. They have players to replace the guy... What a waste of a roster spot.

LOL.. 'Doesn't take long for Flyers fans to boo... Well there was some booing last night. Fair enough.' These announcers are terrible.

The thing is, Lavy seems to be in love with the guy, even using him on the point on the PP instead of giving Coburn a shot there.

Random Thought:

What with the NBA lockout in effect for who knows how long - and possibly missing the season completely - that's a possibility for 41 less NBA home games at WFC. That should be beneficial to the ice condition, especially around November and into the spring.

Nice to see Kimmo taking a shot.

I think Gustafsson was starting to be used as a forward. Empty net had Kimmo and Meszaros on with him.

We definitely had some bright spots in some players, like Voracek, Gus, and a couple other. But otherwise, that game really hurt. It shows that at least a few people need to be booted off the team either being sent down or waiver wire or termination of the contracts.

not a great game but oh well.

my thoughts:
voracek is buttery smooth and was the best player out there tonight
aside from a horrid first period im still very much pulling for read to make the team
hyka should get a contract. why not, it will slide anyway
for as much nodl hate as there is around here id still like to see him on the 4th line or at the very least the 13th forward
gus is tiny but i still would like to see him on the flyers paired with kimmo and lilja can be the 7th
shelly had better not make this team or i will projectile vomit with terror

Let's look on the bright side... Leaf fans will turn around on their road to the bridge they were going to jump off.
Hyka looks like a possible gem
Gus should be the 6th d man
Briz looks calm in the goal, the goals scored not withstanding
Nodl can kill penalties

And things I think
Schenn will take a lot of big face offs in his career
I'd really like to see if the Flyers could get Jerry D'Amigo. I think he could be a nice banger with hands
Marshall? Not an NHLer at this point

Try as I might, I'm not seeing 1 and 1 making 2 in your statement.
