Letourneau-Leblond 5 game suspension

Quote:
1st Shanahan suspension: CGY's Letourneau-Leblond gets 4 preseason games and 1 regular season game.
Per Bob McKenzie.

For what? I don't like this already. It's going to be a long season.

PLL deserves it. Hits like this could lead to neck/spinal injuries and concussions. Leblond had a good 5 second look/run up to his back before the hit. Well done Shanny.

It is for a game or two. Suspending players for preseason games is hardly disciplinary action.

Players will learn. If Shanahan is consistent then this is good. I didn't feel it was worth this much but if Shanahan establishes the standard as being tough then the players will adapt.

Shanahan suspends Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond for having the frenchest name in all of history.

On a more serious note, does anyone have a video of the hit?

He could have at least slowed down and just pinned him against the boards but instead he goes HAM and hits him high. New Jersey fan here saying how in the hell did we get a fifth for that guy.

Hated the guy when we traded for him, like him even less now. I wish management would stop giving jobs to useless knuckle-chucking plugs like him and Ivanans.

Shanahan's explanation.
It will be absolutely amazing if he makes a video like that for every suspension. It will clear a *lot* of things up and go a very very long way in increasing the credibility of the process.

The video I posted is just one of the fight, look at the NHL one though, that's a definite suspension.

I have a feeling that it's gonna go from complaining for not enough discipline to complaining about too much discipline very quicky

Once again the NHL is cracking on enforcers but won't do a damn thing next time Pronger or Ovechkin cheapshot someone.
