The Devils won't give us access, so I won't be able to report on the afternoon game.

Lol to all media? You'd think this was a secret service meeting or something.

The last I heard, none of the Rangers beat writers are going to be at the afternoon game (I usually am the only Rangers person covering it). I think that his year however the Rangers website will be there.

I'm pretty sure it was closed last year. Really wish it was open, I could definitely go.

Great. Looking forward to a lame fluff piece on blueshirts united. What a joke that you and the beat writers aren't invited this year. I want to hear how everyone played.

Can't even get a dagoon fight recap. Last year there were 6 scraps.

I'm sure this is covered somewhere but I doubt I'll find it so I'll just ask here. What do you do?

The newspaper beat writers are invited, they just don't go to the afternoon game. They will all be there tomorrow evening.

We are an internet-only outlet and one that focuses on prospects, so we don't always get access. Our Devils writer, who is one of our best, does not live in the NY/NJ area, so he would not be asking to attend games.

I am a total outsider to the Devils; I cover the opposing team, so HF has never been able to get media access from the Devils for me.

In the past, the afternoon game has been open to the public, so I have been able to go and report on it, but it is my understanding that this has changed this year.

So the devils won't let ny beat writers at the game but they'll let their own and a guy who covers the ECHL's Trenton Titans? Ok

And Ryan Bourque converts from outside right post at 3:54. Cuts Devils lead to 2-1.

Fireandicegame Tom Gulitti
Christian Thomas ties it at 3-3 with 1:17 left in 2nd, beating Clermont to glove side from in front.

The Rangers did not request that it be closed.

Yeah. Miller has been impressive so far. I wasn't expecting them to go with him first but it's looking like a smarter move every game.
