What does this weekend bring?

This is really a big weekend for the Flyers as we play the Pens and the Isles. It seems that we always struggle against the ses two teams, and with the winless record of the Pens it should be a real tough game tonight.
Is Stevenson playing tonight? He actually is already a big part of this team. I never would have thought it but we really saw him present a calm presence against the Devils and we truly missed his game against the Leafs.(He also plays with Prims and that shuffles a body or two so we probably won't have to witness the Carter Brashear and Sharp line again thank God!
Does Nitty start or does Hitch wait for the team to "tough it out" and win one for Esche. I do believe we should go with Nitty- I like the comparison to Kipprosoff(sp) in Calgary, and feel that he has done nothing to deserve to watch.
Is it me and hopeful thinking or did Carter look alive against the Leafs? Maybe because family and friends were at the game- but he actually went to the net a few times and was in the play. His shot and speed are just nice to watch -can't wait till he starts putting a few away.
And finally is this the weekend that Brashear finally sheds? I thought that aside from showing some initiative and pushing a beaten Marshall last Friday he has been a waste of ice.
Anyways it a real important weekend to get something started as we will have a week off to review and SKATE if we don't produce. Regardless hope all the Flyer fans can sit down and watch the boys this weekend and enjoy a few beers and 2 victories!
Cheers- Facts

Hitchcock has already announced Niittymaki as the starter tonight and Esche as the starter tomorrow. A 1-1 record this weekend would be fine by me.

These are both teams the Flyers should beat. Both teams have weak defensemen who can be easily moved, flustered and taken out of position....

yeah, i listened to all the games thru nhl.com, and vs. NYR and TOR it sounds like the flyers just gave up in the 3rd period...hopefully Niitymaki will emerge and get this team going in the right direction

...a loss to pittsburgh in one of the few flyer games i get to watch...will send me thru the roof

I think in the TOR game that had we gotten the first goal of the period we would have rolled, I think they thought TOR was spent and they set it on cruise control.

I agree with this. The Flyers should win both of these games. The first step to winnng either of them is to play for 60 minutes instead of 20.

Hopefully at least a win on Saturday. I picked the Flyers in my winners pool.

I'll settle for a couple of PP goals, please.... (well, a couple of wins too, but dammit they've got to get the PP working!)
