Travel expenses, lodging and meal per diems for training camp are all detailed in the CBA and that's how a player gets 'paid' during the preseason.
As far as one way/two way contracts, my understanding was that training camp isn't when they start getting paid, but after regular season starts in terms of how things are paid out and the timing.
The CBA spells out how a player injured during camp gets paid until they are cleared based on their pro history from prior season...including factoring in NHL and AHL pay rates for some players.
There is also a specific clause in the CBA which allows a team to deduct pay for a player who doesn't report on time to camp. 1/275th of his paragraph 1 salary...(obviously, Doughty doesn't have a contract so it's a bit different in that situation.)
Walton announced 19,000 at the game in Chicago tonight Sept 23rd. Per diem is what $75.00 a day?
