Couts wants to make this team. If he's good enough, I don't know how you could send him back to a league he already dominates.

but seriously couturier has really looked good in every game so far. just drew a penalty while dancing around a couple guys. i would love if he could make the team as a 3rd line winger but its not likely (roster spots and salary)

Second time Bob has tried to score. He did it in the regular season and if I recall he fired it over the glass.

Good job by Read and Gustafsson to name two.

Carle and Lilja both had five blocks.

Agreed. Matt Read leading the Flyers in ice time with 23 minutes.

Well, now we just have to wait for news on the possible Testwuide suspension.

Voracek looked really good too.

Aside from his attempt to score, how did Bob look tonight? Stats look good. Was he challenged?

Really liked the Read, Voracek, Couturier line. Couts finished second amongst forward in ice time with 20+. Lavi had him out there for the final minute when Detroit had the extra attacker. He really trusts this kid.

Therien thinks Read can be a top 6 forward and compares him to Ryan Callahan.

He kind of reminds me of another former 24 for us, Sami Kapanen

Another fantastic game by Read. Of course now we need to wait for a pointless article from Broad Street Hockey about how Read shouldn't make the team blah blah blah

He was challenged a lot in the 1st... but looked solid all game. Detroit sorta sat back in the 3rd.

Their infatuation with Nodl ussually does that. They know its between those two for the final spot and their HUGE Nodl fans so, their obviously on Nodl's side. I already had an debate with Geoff about this.

Yes, thanks for the feed.

Nodl (who I thought would score just under 20 goals this year, yes I thought he'd start clicking offensively) better start showing something if he still wants that 3rd line spot, Read looks like he's taking that over.

Jagr looked really good. There was a couple plays there were it appeared he was a man amongst boys and only elite players look like that at this level. I'm not expecting that on a consistent basis because he wasn't that when he left but it was a good sign.

I'm not here to start fights but go look at the 2007-08 playoffs. That was the last time Jagr was in the NHL, so when he left.

Watch the highlights, see how he played. He had 15 Pts in 10 games in those playoffs. "He was that".

It's not even Nodl. It's that Travis has a personal vendetta against prospects he considers overrated. For that reason he dislikes Testuwide, Akeson, and Read immensley. I think that if Hyka had been able to stay with the team it would have happened to him to.
