yeah he's playing great but he's not ready..the habs send kids back to dominate in junior ...lats being the exception....
tinordi, gallagher, beaulieu have all looked good...even this kid dumont who reminds me of talbot..and we've yet to see bournival and leblanc...
I'd say Dumont has a way higher upside then Talbot. Although I like what Maxime brings to the game, he will always be a marginal 4th liner. I could see Dumont becoming a player à la Brad Marchand.

Dumont's upside is Talbot. The Marchand comparison is ridiculous.
we also have mark macmillan who is very "slight" but has exceptional offensive skill.he plays for penticton of the bchl.keep an eye on him.i think he has a lot of potential like gallagher.

Why is it ridiculous? Please explain. Was Marchand much more dominant at the same stage? If so, fine. If not, please give your reasons for your opinion.

Marchand at 20 put up 59 points in the AHL, Dumont put up 18 in 64 games at the same age...so he has a lot way to go to be compared to Marchand...maybe if he is close to 1 PPGM this year then we can consider it reasonable. I think Gallagher is as close to a Marchand clone as I have seen.
Gallagher is definitely impressive, for a guy who's skating was an issue at the draft he sure moves well, he doesn't have Pacioretty's long stride straight line speed but like Marchand he cuts and darts and is strong on the puck, plus he is fearless in driving the net. I think he'll be an NHL regular within 24-27 months.
Would be nice to see Beaulieu and Gallagher up for 9 games... Maybe if the injuries are severee enough to guys like Eller, White, Markov, then maybe.
I'm not a fan of keeping junior aged players even if only 9-10 games unless it's an expectional player(Crosby Stamkos Tavares etc), I'd rather see guys like Diaz, Woywitka, Trotter, Willsie, Blunden and co see time up with the big club as they are guys that could legitimately be NHLers at some point this year.
I would rather see Gallagher and Beaulieu go back to junior and work on their weaknesses and focus on making the WJHC team.

Marchand has a much, much more dominant sense of smell.
He's got far better hands than both of those guys. If we're comparing him to someone of similar stature, he's more of a Nathan Gerbe. He doesn't give up on any plays, he's like a little bulldog. I'll be so bold to say that he'll play one more year in the WHL and he'll be with us at least for 40 games in 2012-13.
I would not be surprised to see Gallagher stick for nine games at the start of the season with the injury to Eller. The other young forwards have been rather unimpressive so far.
