We were friends, then you started to get angry with me. Not sure why. But lets just forget about what happened over there and focus on hockey.

Vel actually has stopped by here a few times this summer... just not in the past month.

Yeah, he'll definitely get something, but I'd still be shocked if it was more than 2 games.

Shanny might give it two simply because he's trying to lay down the law.

Oh, I'm actually EXPECTING 2 games.. but no way will it be more. It's not like Staubitz is a frequent offender here.

Question for those that watched the stream: How was it compared to the Edmonton game? Were the highlights just as biased?

Wish there was a clear replay of the hit... It sounded pretty punishing, but no CBJ players were actively going after Staubitz afterwards. Makes me wonder...

You want to be sold on Yeo, by the way? Listen to the postgame news conference and how he's able to dissect the game and describe the problems and how to fix it without the need to "look at the tape."
Wait, we have a coach who actually has answers when things go bad?

That's one of things that made the skin crawl when it came to Richards. Either he'd say, "I just don't know what happened out there." or "Don't know, cuz I haven't seen the tape yet." And that happened EVERY game! He never had answers, and looked more lost than Waldo.

Way better offensively than Edmonton game, i got excited whenever our 1st line was on the ice. I'm sure now that we ll watch 2 nice scoring lines this year. Seems like our only problem ll be our D this year hope that addition of Schultz and Lundin changes this picture.

Congrats on the great start this year - it's good to see mikko-heater-seto gelling like that so quickly...hopefully we get equal value out of Burns & Havlat on our end.

Sharks - Wild in the WCF?

Burnsie is still my favorite player in the league... so I will be cheering on the Sharks this year... well.. when they aren't playing the Wild that is.

Sharks are my second favorite team, so HELL YES!! That'd be a dream. Honestly, it'll be tough for the Wild to even make the postseason this year, but you guys had better make it to the WCF's and beyond. Enough messing around...WIN THE CUP ALREADY!

Wild are one year away IMO...top line is MONEY. Granlund on the second line will be huge. I could maybe even see trading Bouchard for another shooter/scorer but he looks really good now as it is. Need Brodin and Scandella to shore up the D though.

Really wish Phillips could play in Houston this year...get some chemistry with Foucault and maybe Wellman. Those three along with Coyle and Zucker could be a good group that would come up in a couple years.

Seems like I missed out on a good one. Can't wait until I get to catch the replays.

I don't think he does... I think he's trying to be sarcastic? Maybe? I think?
I've never criticized his play or really thought he was a "chicken perimeter player". In fact, I always found it irritating that people expected some undersized guy to play any other way. He held on to the puck too long, and spun around yadda yadda etc but that's because no one else was playing up to speed. Oh but Rolston, that weak one dimensional sack of crap got praised nightly. Same people whined incessantly about Kim Johnsson being soft. Well of ****ing course he's ****ing soft you dumbasses!!!! you think GMs, coaches, etc don't know that. yet he still has a job? What the ****? NHL coaches and management know something you don't? That the guy can still contribute? lanflksanflakflajfljfkjlajlkfjlaj;!

sorry, my mother in law is here in our new house again for the eighth time in what seems like only two months. a little on edge.

it was along the same lines as clutterbuck lying face down after he got jacked in the head. wasn't even bothered, but had to lay there to draw the penalty.
Could have been bad, yes, but so could completely legal checks. Don't know why no one was going after Stauby unless they knew what was happening (no real damage).

Maybe nobody on CBJ likes Bass and they didn't mind.

I wonder that sometimes in all honesty. some guys (not even stars) get backed up immediately when stuff is going down and sometimes other guys just sort of drift over nonchalantly when a guy has been mugged. I don't know anything about Cody Bass, but I would have to think I would be a lot more enthusiastic about standing up for Schultz than I would for Belanger, for example.

Any highlights of this game on the web? Can't find anything on NHL, TSN, or youtube.

I'm trying very hard to not get over-excited about a preseason game, but they did look very good as a line. Not only offensively, but I can only count one time in the game where they were pinned in their own end; other than that, they attacked all game.
