If he wants a shot at the NHL this season then he would have to go to Bingo.

I won't read too much into it until it's announced. Perhaps he's just holding off any decisions made until he talks to management.

I saw Joy's tweet a couple hours ago. There wasn't a single other tweet about it. I'm not discrediting Joy, but if no one else is talking about it, it was probably a casual question, and he casually answered saying 'I don't know'

I wouldn't read into it too much

Yeah, it is strange. I've heard him say at least twice that he would go to the AHL if doesn't make the NHL. He was in Sweden when he said that too.

Pageau sent down as expected, Senators were appropriate in giving Prince and Pageau a game each

I was pretty surprised about that too, imo at the very least Noesen should have played in the Toronto game instead of Lessard.

Just a thought: Noesen and Puempel are both 1993 birthdays, while Prince and Pageau are late 1992s. The sens will have to make the AHL/overager decision one year sooner for Prince and Pageau, so it's probably beneficial to take a closer look at them.

We should now cut: Daugavins, Grant, Parrish, Petersson, Hoffman, Borowiecki, Wiercioch, (Kuba)

Anybody else? Someone who shouldn't be cut yet?

Hoffman, Petersson, and Borocop should be getting a longer look imo.

I'd add Daugavins to that too.

I dunno about that. Borowiecki would be most deserving for a longer look out of those 3. My worry is just that there are too many D vying for spots.

The first round of cuts will probably consist mainly of the guys who haven't played. Probably the the career AHL vets as well.

Borowiecki and Hoffman stand out to me as guys who deserve a longer look.

He's been better than Kuba, Lee, Carkner and Rundblad and deserves to start in the NHL at this point. Keep 8 D if you have to.

The fact that Hoffman was not playing the rookie tournament because management knew what he could do makes it seem like he has a shot at the NHL level and will hopefully, probably be getting a nice long look.

I know I'd like to get another look at Borowiecki, Hoffman and Daugavins against NHL competition.

Petersson must be injured or something, it is the only logical explanation for the most talented prospect to only play 8 minutes of preseason hockey.

Good to see Hoffman getting a nice long look, he'll be a regular in our bottom 6 by march imo.
