One of our fans over the border in NY compared him to John LeClair last night, he could be like that!

I heard that name being bounced around when patches was drafted. There are certain aspects of his game which remind you of leclair. I dont think he will be as productive though, mind you that patches never had the luxury of playing with lindros in his prime.

Not Lindros, but looks like he will be playing with Cole though, we shall see.....

Its not the first time he has had an impressive preseason game.

He has definitely worked hard on his shot, in his rookie season it was atrocious.

30 Goals this year, his shot is on and he is driving the net with no fear. I think we finally have a 1st line talent here. His confidence is showing, with the proper linemates the sky is the limit.

As far as I remember, Pacioretty wasn't much of a goal scorer when he was drafted. He definitely was more of a play maker.

He really turned that around last season. The numbers don't lie. He had a total of 31 goal (17 in Hamilton, 14 in Montreal). He had a total of 9 and 6 goals, respectively, in his first two pro seasons.

The Habs as a team will use the B's Cup win as motivation, Max will take that to another level....would be great to see 40-50pts!

I remember thinking in his rookie season he'd be held back by his shot but that he could pass very well.

Now he's become the full package. Kudos to MaxPac for working hard and becoming the player many thought he would become.

He keeps making the Rivet trade look better and better.

The only thing that can make up for allowing the B's to win the cup I think in their minds is to come back and win the cup themselves the very next year. Everybody this year who was around last year seems to be psyched and seems to have worked tremendously hard over the summer. We're talking Pittsburgh penguins type training (I hear they practice harder than almost any team in the league)

It's going to be an awesome year I think.

That's a very good goal (pun!) for Max. 50 pts that is. 25-25 or 20-30 would be awesome.

That's a ballsy prediction Oz. I like it, but I'm going to go a little lower and say 25+.

I disagree with it being a ballsy prediction. Myself and plenty of other people feel he's capable of easily netting 30 barring injuries and he already looks better now than last year. Of course I'd like to see him in a real game but I've been focusing on him a lot as I have been Gorges.

Both seem solid.
