My eyes hurt. Pretend the Mets are good and that you want to win games.

He was bad tonight, and when he stinks it really is awful, but Pence should have caught that ball. Ugh.

herndon is terrible, I dont really watch this team until Saturday. I hope they win at least one more game until the playoffs start. This isnt a very good way to go into the postseason.

Charlie said were gonna have our full "A-Team" line up in tomorrow behind Halladay, against Mike Pelfrey. If we lose tomorrow then I might be worried.

Some positives I took away from this game was Stutes had 2 straight 123 innings. Utley also hit a few balls hard for hits. Teams have stumbled into the playoffs and won the WS, the 2000 Yankees, The 2002 Angels, and the 2006 Cardinals, all were terrible the last few weeks of the season. But this team really needs to start hitting.

Maybe this will cheer people up, the San Fransisco Giants have been officially eliminated from postseason contention.

I said I didn't care about their record over the rest of the season. I was figuring they'd play around .500, not .000.

Just because these games don't mean anything doesn't mean I want to watch this ********.

I agree. I think the team is doing a tremendous disservice to their fans, especially the ones that paid for tickets during their recent putrid play.

I really don't like seeing this. Reminds me of last year when they were barely hitting at all and barely got past the Reds. Come on boys, turn this around already.

It's over. Just get to 100 wins and then win 11 wins in October.

Can't believe the Sox might pull a Mets and choke their way out of the playoffs.

I'll gladly forgo the 100 wins for 11 wins in October.

Even though they have choked, the Sox play the O's in their final series while the Rays have the Yankees. That said, would the Yankees "deliberately" lose to knock the Sox out of the playoffs?

The might do that, or just not play ANYONE for at least the last two games to "rest up." Girardi has already gone on record saying he doesn't care about potential rust, he wants to rest everyone as much as possible. That's something Charlie won't be doing it would seem because that's how he feels about series that "mean something" to the other team.

So do we pitch Lee for two innings and then put in Herndon?? So we don't have to face the Cards. Amirite?

I'd be happy to play the cards. With their season on the line they recently blew multi-run leads to the Cubs and Mets.
