Tells something about Granlund that even when he has 2 points in two periods, it's "not his best game so far though".

He's been quite ok. Nice hit on Jokerit's 6'2 John Klingberg. Has created some really nice opportunities, but something is missing from his game today. Which is definitely understandable as this is the season opener.

Do they have updated height/weight anywhere you can find for him? I know the last few things I've seen have been badly outdated.

Keep hearing that Granlund hasn't been as good in a lot of games since the WC. Pattern or coincidence?

Hmm... He has looked good every time I've watched him play. I think people just have too high expectations on him. Today he had 2 points, couple of big hits, and people are still expecting more.

Go for it. It's nice to have it all kept together on the opening post and have it updated often.

Putting up 2 assists in the biggest derby in Finland with almost 15000 in the attendance is fine for me :>

And the second "assist", was really more of a goal for Granlund. His wristshot just touched Kimmo Kuhta's jersey on the way, and the goal was given to him.

Knowing Granlund it might just be rigorous training that's slowing him down. Preparing for 2012-2013 and all, but it's just a guess. In my opinion Granlund's a bit of a perfectionist. I feel that his choice to stay in Finland wasn't only influenced by school and army, but also by his inner flame to improve. There's more time to train in Finland, due to shorter distances and and games being played more seldom than in NA.

I'll work on that sometime next week I think. Unless CT wants to do it again.

Going from what the Wild gave out in July, they have Granlund at 5'10" 180 lbs

It's probably worth a mention that the game was played in NA size rink.

I cant find any boxscores to confirm, but from reading a few reports it sounds like Lucia has 3 goals and 5 assists in 3 preseason games for Penticton.

Awesome. I'm really thinking and hoping he turns out as a good NHLer.

LOL, couldnt believe when i walked in rink tonight and saw Zach on ice......we are a long way away from Minnesota and he played the night and the night before in St Louis. Must not of had any sleep last night.
Great character, very comiited team guy was the difference tonight. Game was 2-2 he already had goal and an assist, then accepted a challenge to fight, did well in fight, drew 3 penalties and was second star. When we get back Nathen Beaulieu from MTL and Huberdeau from Florida and Jurco from Detroit watch out. This team beat us 8-1 just last wee.k

Fishing for info from Russo paid off. I told you guys how in love the team is with Bulmer. I know where he is on their asset list but even I wasn't sure he'd be considered this year...Don't know what that would mean for our other potentials.

I wonder if they want to get him in those 9 (or so) games and see how he fares. Then make the decision on whether or not to send him back to junior.

well my assumption was always that he'd get a longer look this preseason/season but I thought it was inevitable he get sent down at the end of the day. Just have Gillies in the back of my mind, i guess. I think Bulmer is 1000x more confident at this point than Gillies was at the same age so perhaps that will make all the difference.

No Jason Zucker this year? I think next year might be exciting for you guys though if Granlund, Larsson, Coyle, Zucker, and maybe Phillips & Rodin and play some role in the team.

So Cuma and Bulmer are the only two notable guys who might make a debut for the team this year? I think Cuma just got cut but I'd guess he'll get some games at some point if he stays healthy.
