Maybe it's just me but I have liked the way Roussel (sp?) has played - sad to see him sent to Chicago.

I saw that too, but then I thought: "If he's being waived by Dallas..."

Godard would be a good 13th forward to play against teams like the Ducks and Oilers. Also another guy that will probably go on waivers soon is Brain Mcgrattan since the Ducks already have Parros. Mcgrattan is tough as nails and has overcome his substance abuse problems from his days in Ottawa. I have a funny feeling that if MG decides to go the goon route he will just stick with Fedoruk who is washed up as a legit heavyweight

I think Duco is on the team as replacement for Glass. Seems like a similar player, maybe a little more involved as an agitator than Glass was. He's got a fourth-line spot locked down near as I can tell.

I think the real question is have we found our Glass replacement?

....And by that I mean someone who will get injured more then Salo? The answer: Yes, I think Bitz is that guy!

I'm not sure how anyone sees Duco NOT making the team at this point. All his competition got injured, meaning Nolan, Pinizzotto, and Bitz. As it stands now, the 4th line pretty much has to be Duco-Lapierre-Oreskovich, no?

My thoughts on Duco: If he can rein it in a little bit, he can be effective. Obviously, we can't have him running around going after Taylor Hall and the like every night, or else the Sedins are going to feel the retribution. However, when we're playing teams like Chicago, LA, or Boston that go after the Sedins anyway, he might represent a nice answer.

And in the playoffs? Go nuts, Mike.

Man, if Duco's playing for us in the playoffs...

Pinizotto >> Glass >> Duco, and I don't even like Glass.

Don't forget about Volpatti.

Duco vs Carcillo could be very fun to watch in the Canucks vs Hawks games, lol.

I was really impressed with Roussel.

Would do anything to win.

If he keeps it up, there may be a Burrows-like rise to the NHL.

Yeah except Dallas has about 2 and 1 1/2 lines of plugs already, with Barch and Burish. Not to mention a guy like Ott in the top 6 or 9.

If we need (which I dont think we do) an enforcer he would be better than Fedoruk.

Yeah Carcillo might actually win a fight if that happened....has Carcillo ever won a fight? Im discounting the one vs. Gaborik.

Carcillo has beat many tough opponents. With the Canucks projected opening day line up with the exception of Bieksa there isn't anyone on the Canucks capable of pumping Carcillo. A guy like Alberts would fight him if he had to but Alberts is a pretty crappy fighter for his size. Thornton got away with alot last year in the finals and no Canuck was willing to go near him, I'm betting Carcillo would at least have dropped the mits with him and stuck up for some of his teammates which is more than you can say about our bottom six guys like Lapierre and Oreo. Even Glass wasn't sticking up for his teammates during the finals

Ehh...I dunno. This guy is being glorified a little bit because of an above average pre-season. Who knows what sort of level he could have performed at over an extended season. He's sort of an unknown at this point.

Duco made a nice hit on Jovo which helped the odd man rush on Weise's goal

Tough to get a read on a guy in one game, I hope he stays up for a few.
