I am interested to see why the hell they decided to keep both Bickel and Deveaux up tonight. I hope they play well, but it just doesn't make much sense to me......

Bell, Erixon and McIlrath have looked the best in Camp on defense.

Weise, MZA, Avery, Bourque (in flashes) have looked the best on offense.

Why not just carry those guys? Maybe they feel they need the toughness in the line-up?

Yeah, I'd rather see the players that are up and coming and that we don't get to see terribly often as opposed to the mainstays that we'll see all season long. Looking forward to it.

EVERYONE just wants to watch that Wolski-Richards-Gaborik line. That was really exciting to watch.

Personally, I also miss watching Dubi-Ani-Cally as well. Especially now that Callahan has the C, I'm always ready to watch the homegrown line.

Our lines are a jumbled mess right now. Its annoying. Torts could at least keep the Pack line together for our B team. Dont see why he put Cally on the A team. It would give us one solid line for each team.

What i want to see is simple:

I want to see Erixon look like he belongs in the NHL this season...cause i haven't seen that yet

This is only the 3rd preseason game and the Rangers have to decide what cuts they need to make. They've played two games (well, including tonight) with mainly prospects and bubble guys, and one game where they ran out a bunch of regulars to get a quick look at them.

After more cuts they'll go overseas and you'll start seeing a lot more work done on the actual team and lines staying together, etc. Remember there are still like 4 preseason games left after tonight and they'll be used more to develop the lines and fine tune the roster, work on special teams, etc.

Though I really don't like them playing a bunch of teams from other leagues right before the start of the season...non NHL style/caliber teams, on probably non NHL regulation size ice...Those first two games against LA and Anaheim could be a mess

I'm pretty sure they always play on NHL size ice when they play in Europe. And I think you mean "not including tonight" in your first paragraph.

The Rangers have no one to match up with him in their line-up. Bickel and Deveaux are not in his league....

Yeah I wasn't sure if they played on NHL ice or not

And I mean including tonight...as in, they'll have played two games where they didn't dress their top players (first NJ game and this Flyers game) and one game where they dressed their stars (second NJ game)

Oh I didn't realize we aren't playing with our top line again.

This lineup needs more Brad Richards

I was at the game on Friday. His passing is sick!

We're not playing Richards or Gaborik, so my concern is somewhat less than what it might be otherwise.

Awards:
They need to bring McNaught back to camp to brawl with Sestito. That would be a good one.

We could always play McIlrath, but I don't think Tortorella is going to want to show sings of fear at an opposing goon. Sets a bad precedent going forward.

I can't not like Schenn and Simmonds......I hate it.

I wanted them on the Rangers for SO long. People didn't like that trade for Philly, I loved it.

Giroux
Schenn
Couturier

Hartnell, Voracek, Jagr, Briere, JVR on the wings.

Pronger, Timmonen, Mezsaros, Coburn, Carle on the back-end.

Bryzgalov in net. I think that team will surprise quite a few people THIS SEASON. And if they make the playoffs and are healthy, I expect them to, at the very least, be a VERY hard team to beat.
