Way too many players listed in this thread are not "2nd to 4th line guys (or 2nd, 3rd pairing defenders)".

But anyway, I'd love to see Jordan Staal on our third line someday.

Looking at players in like the "4m mold", Marek Zidlicky or someone like that would certainly fit really well on our team. Righthanded PPQB.

Milan Lucic!

I line with Cally and Lucic would be one heart-driven bang-up line combo!

Hard work, and intangibles. My vote goes to Steve Downie. Hard working guy, and I fell in love with him in the playoffs. He really improved his game, and I expect some good numbers from him. He's a lot like Avery, outside the fact that he doesn't suck (Sorry Avery fans, but he's got to go) Anyways, what 2nd to 4th line guy (or 2nd, 3rd pairing defender) would you like to see in a Rangers Jersey?
Without reading any other replies, the guy I want on the Rangers is winger Chris Stewart.

A big bodied kid that can score. I believe he plays the RW, but I'd move him to LW on the top line.

Perfect fit for the Rangers.

Honorable mention to David Backes and Ryane Clowe

Yeah, you're right... He has nothing left and certainly nothing to teach a young, talented but inexperienced defense.

  • WW + EC to Montreal for A Kotitsyn and a salary dump (to Hartford)...Gomez?? lol

I would do 2 of those deals (don't like the Turris deal)

I would still love to move Wolski for AK. At least when AK is on he is a big body whop likes to play physical and hit.

I foresee the Rangers making a trade anyways for a defenseman before the end of TC because I don't think they want to go into the season with (1) true veteran on defense. I like Gunnarsson.

He also said 2nd-4th line, or 2nd-3rd pairing. In what world are Suter, Weber, Lidstrom, Doughty, Parise in those categories?

So basically what you're saying is you and everyone else usually only read the first sentence of someone's post before responding to it, which explains a good deal on these boards.

Ryan Kesler, AINEC. I have loved this guy for like 3 years, hes a much better version of Dubinsky

Someone else mentioned Datsyuk, and I'm definitely on board for that one as well.

i love the AINEC comments...a team that already has 6 young exceptionally high ceiling defenseman wants Suter, AINEC?

I can see the Kesler argument, but I think Parise is much better...still though...AINEC? its really close....there are many exceptional players out there in the NHL...how about Drew DOughty? hed bring incredible offense from the blueline...hed serve way more of a need than some of the other players being discussed....

AINEC? heh.

I'm not picky, I'd take any of the following to name a few...

Lucic, Clowe, Kane, D.Brown, Koivu M or S as a vet., Abdelkader, Wayne Simmons, Nick Foligno, Ladd

On Defense...
Hjalmarsson, Douglas Murray, Colburn, OEL, Pietrangelo, Enstrom
