Not too concerned if Sestito beats up Deveaux tonight. He's not that impressive and will get killed by the Carkner's and MacIntyre's of the world if he sticks as the Flyers heavy.

Another crappy lineup. Any word on whether JJ is playing or not?

They better not play Richards on Thursday (the game that won't be televised). Knowing our luck, however, they probably will.

Well by Thursday, I expect him to play in mostly all of our remaining preseason games.

It'll be a nice way to test our players mental strength: who gives up and who fights.

There's a difference between "injured" and keeping him out of a preseason game because his groin is sore. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions.

Yeah groin injuries are really common in the preseason and guys sit out because there's no point in pushing it and trying to play in games that don't matter

Same kinds of injuries probably happen during the regular season all the time but we don't hear about it because they're not bad enough to sit for

actually hes not.

he grew up in the syr stars organization- hes from rome and played with my son all the way up through midget major. he played here for the crunch last season as cbs property.

hes a big, physical forward for sure with some offensive talent. he scored 40 goals his last year with plymouth. hes got decent hands down low but he can fight. no doubt.

to call him a goon is not correct. he would be what i would call a guy who can take a regular shift and hold his own against all but the best heavyweights.

I don't care what players are playing tonight, I am pumped for some NYR-Phi hockey.

OT: Just noticed while playing my season in NHL 12, midway through the year we have played less games then all other teams. I know its cause MSG and the opening in Europe. But just weird to see we wont be 5 games ahead of everyone else (atleast around the 40 game mark of season).

That will be nice for once. Always sucked looking at the standings towards the end of the year and seeing all these teams behind us with games in hand.

Crossbar sorry he is a friend of yours and hard to say but without fighting he is in ECHL already. not much talent at the NHL level.. Rinaldo is cut from Avery mold and loves to fight also

I didn't see "NHL level" mentioned once in Crossbar's reply.

Not to crush anyone's idea of a kid defense but Eminger is going to be in the starting 6 on opening night barring an absolute miracle.

Erixon is going to be sent down to try the McDonagh route; he'll be called up when someone goes down to injury. Eminger will play RD on the 3rd pairing and the last spot comes down to Del Zotto and Bell.

If Del Zotto makes it, they will probly keep Bell as a 7th. If Del Zotto stinks and they keep Bell, they may look to make a trade for a defenseman.

You know it's bad when even Wolski doesn't want to be your linemate.

I think Fischler has officially turned the corner from "losing it" to "lost it"

Christensen is done. Stick a fork in him. Thought he had a chance with his play late last year but its over.
