Rather have Clune than Fraser.

JP (The guy who replaced Rich at his old Daily News blog) says the Kings waived Clune, Meckler and Cliche.

It's too bad. Clune has said he's bigger and stronger than ever.

I'm sure there's a team that could use a player like Clune.

So we're keeping the injured guy and ditching the dude that we developed ourselves?

Can't waive/send down an injured player, which is why Fraser and Berube are still with the Kings. Saw this news coming days ago, had posted it in another thread here.

Fraser will be waived once he's cleared from injury.

They were waived last summer also. I doubt anyone will pick them up.

Spotted Joe Piskula's name on that list there. I still remember him signing on with the Kings at the end of one of the recent miserable seasons and everyone being excited about "nabbing" him coming out of college.

I think they have to pass thru waivers in order to be sent to Manchester, all have been in the system a few years. Doubt any get claimed and all to sign AHL deals with Manchester.

Lol, I saw that too and thought the same thing. Apparently he had an AHL deal with Calgary's Farm Team last year. He had some Vets to beat out this year to make the big squad.

Feel bad for Meckler; been rooting for him since his draft day. For a few training camps, he seemed close to playing his way into one of those bottom-six spots. Now he's buried.

Just to be clear, they have contracts with Los Angeles they do not need to sign with Manchester, they will be assigned there by LA.

No surprises, Cliche was a real longshot and probably the only one on this list with any chance.

Tom Sestito (PHI) amongst those on waivers today. No one from yesterday's list was claimed. Full list on tsn.ca shortly.

As part of his reassignment to Manchester, Cam Paddock was placed on waivers.
