Derek Whitmore must have cleared as well as today he was assigned to the AHL. Still no word on the other Sabres, though.

Bob McKenzie

No waiver claims were put in on any of the players made available on the weekend. Today's waivers will be up on tsn.ca shortly.

Sunday's waived players won't clear until tomorrow at noon.

Repik, Sexton and Cliche all stand out on that list.

Repik could possibly turn into another Grabner situation perhaps?

Cliche could be an effective 4th liner in the NHL. Watch the Islanders claim Repik.

I wouldn't mind Caputi or/and Sexton if memory is correct I remember Sexton had a good call up a few years ago. Caputi was a good prospect a year or two ago.

Repik being waived has to be a mistake.

The guy is a 22 year old former second rounder who has put up very good seasons in the AHL.

We're not. Ducks prospect pool getting deeper every year. His stock kept dropping with each exhibition game played.

He stinks and has blown every NHL chance he's had.

I think Caputi has shown enough at the NHL and is young enough to warrant a claim by some low-level team.

Repik would probably be the best gamble so far, he's quite skilled and way too young to pass up.

Every team has a guy like Cliche. He's a 4th line center at best.

I remember during his rookie season people were hyping the guy up to be as good or better than Duchene for that brief run the guy had when he first made the NHL.

Just goes to show how much the armchair crowd really knows.

Caputi's ceiling I would say is a good third line winger. He plays a balanced game but doesn't stand out in any one area. If a team lacking depth wants a young guy in their bottom-6, he's a solid option.

I have just never been impressed with Caputi. His skating is just atrocious, and I don't think the other parts of his game are strong enough to overcome that.
